One thing that you should keep in mind is: dont completely rely on pvpoke, use it as a guide, because for example, just because gastrodon beats shadow feraligatr in the 1s doesnt mean you should just build around having a shadow gatr counter when it literally wins on 3 health, it also can be better to sometimes "soft lose" a situation aslong as your not giving the opponent extra energy to make a move as this is a meta where energy advantage is usually more important than alignment.

I agree with you, but you can also run the sim in different shield situations and with different health/turn statistics. I would say it’s a great tool that should be used at your level. There is so much information that is available on PVPoke and that the top content creators have in memory that you can’t base your battles solely off of their success. As Dan regularly states, learn basic move counts, fast move timing and typings and that will help you a lot. If you are 2500elo and above you probably have more focused detail. If you are near 3000 then all those intricacies are important because the other top guys know all that.

Just remember you dont need to use this. You can build a team that will get you to 2500 with just a few teams of pokemon you like (i use 15 15 15 or 14 14 14 pokemon for all three leagues, basiclly not wasting resources getting second moves on a pokemon i dont plan on powering up for raids) as long as you get mons that semi cover eachother (having only three mons means you will have gaps no matter what you do) have decent charge moves, normally one quick charge move that can pressure sheilds and one nuke move. You can pretty easily get to 2500 elo. If you want to use these sites, hunt for the perfrct ivs you can, its just not needed to be good at pvp, only focus on that if you want to climb past that 2500 elo. Thats where this stuff starts mattering.

I feel like my biggest weakness when team building is trying to figure out what strategy to build around. I can never figure out if I should build a hyper offense, balance, etc team and sometimes it feels like I'm just mashing pieces together

Did you ever get your playback monetization views issue resolved? If so what was the problem? Its happening on my channel and youtube is telling me it isn't a bug its normal.. basically told me not to worry because my channel is working accordingly. they did say it could have to do with the algorithm.. but to me thats basically them admitting there is an issue but the specialists they hook us up with don't have a clue.

Got a rank 1 for ultra league mankey (annihiliape) but I don't run ultra league much. Looking forward to the rage fist video. I know counter got wrecked, I stopped using vigoroth as a result, so we'll see if I touch UL now. I have decent feraligatr, now annihilape, and talonflame, that would be my UL team, but maybe not lol

One thing I wanted to add was to stay ahead of the curve. Example: You might want to retire your Dunsparce Wiggly sh Ursaring normal spice team for a week or two. I think something is going to make them a bad run for a minute.

I like spicy picks and don't have access to all the good meta pokemons right now, so I have a 1500cp good iv pipdgeot on my team, I am wondering what the best fast attack for it is? Something heavy hitting or something that charges energy fast?

I had a ton of Fast TM's and have used about twenty on a Primeape to try to get Karate Chop and it keeps switching between Counter and Low Kick. Didn't think I'd need an Elite for this.

When do you decide to switch up the team? I seem to get to high 2600's and then I start getting hard countered back to below 2300's. Do I switch it up after 15 battles? 20? It seems to happen like clockwork each time I kiss Expert 😭
