From what Lily said when she was given the flower, I get the feeling she used to be a much kinder person in the past. She must have gone through some truly awful things to become so cold- hearted (Perhaps the death of her husband, since she's referred to as a "Dowager," which is basically just a fancy term for a wealthy widow). Though, that just makes it all the sweeter when the gift of the flower helps open up her heart again and turn her back into that kind person!

I saw this on Disney Channel when i was 4 going on 5 30 years ago and thought it was a fun Rankin Bass special but doesn't hold a candle to Here Comes Peter Cottontail.
