The Easy Life of Nassau Northern Cook Islands - 4K VLOG 209

The Kwai continues its Journey of unloading cargo on the tiny remote island of Nassau. Not the Nassau of the Bahamas, but of the remote Northern Cook Islands far off in the Pacific Ocean. We get a first hand interview of the joys of living in this tiny piece of paradise from a young local man who decided to stay while so many others left for a more modern life in Australia. After a musically exciting boat ride back to the Kwai we part ways with our friends of Nassau and set sail for Puka Puka.

Nice to see the Kwai still going. I remember doing a trip on that boat as the engineer. And rebuilding the main engine and swapping out the hydraulic engine. The 6bt is a massive improvement from the Bedford that the boat use to have.

In Mangaia the most southern island in the Cook Islands my dad and his fishing mates use rocks to take the hooks down to the bottom to catch fish
