I believe comes a moment in life where the judge inside of us rises. Is not about trying to see the good qualities instead of the bad. Is about how much good or bad has that person caused you. Even if we try to see it under the eye of compassion, the pain that we experienced makes it difficult. I don't know if they intentionally wanted to hurt us or not, but scars will not go away easy. Yes we grow from it and life goes on. I guess that's why we are here on earth. To learn

A boat is sinking. There is one person in the deep end of the water and there is one person on the shore. Who do you think can better save the boat from sinking? Imho the person in the water can at best slow down the sinking of the boat and there is a limit to what he can do to save the boat because he himself is in the water. However, the person on the shore has a lot more better options to save the boat such as pulling the boat on-shore to repair. If you are still in the water, don't worry and leave the saving of the boat to those on the shore. What you can do is to reach the shore asap through your diligent practice and not be side-tracked (for example on such issue as saving the boat). And when you reach the shore, you will be better placed to save the boat. The question is what if there is no one on the shore to save the boat? Is there anyone who have reached the shore in our current age? I am pretty sure there is someone who will reach the shore and that someone is you. If you diligently practice correctly without giving up and not get side-tracked by non-relevant matters, given time, right causes and conditions, you will reach the shore. The one on the shore will be you, at least. Focus on reaching the shore is the best way, imho, to save the boat.
