I really enjoy watching your videos. I only wish they were a little longer with a little more explanation. Being a beginner, I would find it very helpful knowing why you use certain colors to create distance, blending, the use of medium (if any), the types of brushes, etc. Like I said, I'm a beginner, so the more information, the better :)

So sorry about that. I totally understand. Basically, I used a blue-grey as a base color because the sky is blue-grey. Painting the mountains a slightly darker version of the sky mixture causes them to look distant(because they blend in).If the sky was orange, the mountains would be dark orangish. I used acrylic for the mountains(oils for the sky). I use cheap brushes from Hobby Lobby :). I believe I used a rounded brush most of the time. I hope this helps.
