That's a great trick, when you turn the tape to put the sticky side out. Thank you. I'm trying it today on a pup.

How much does it cost to get the ears cropped (cut) when he's at what age?
@rokksthedoberman7 жыл бұрын
the puppy should be between 8 and 12 weeks old. Depends on the Dr, but cost is aprox 300-500. This should checkups and postings afterwards.

How soon would you say I should wait to do home made postings? I've been taking my Dobie to the vet for the past 3 weeks to get his bandages changed and was wondering how long I should wait to stop going to the vet and do it myself
@rokksthedoberman9 жыл бұрын
***** with my package it came with 6 postings, so with Rokks, I started do them on my own for her 7th. Took forever for her ears to stand, one jept drooping. For my puppy Kleapatra, I was very lucky and 6 was all she needed

hey, i can see your dob is pretty old like 2-3 years maybe ? is it ok to start at this age because after a wrong cut from the vet i didnt post the ears, one is almost standing and the other lay on the top of the head.. can i have some advices, thank you
@where2next4kris8 жыл бұрын
usually they should be done before 1. She did have issues once by using a cone for too long when she was about 2, and I just reposted and it seemed to work. Maybe try posting for a couple of weeks to see if that helps

How long do I keep it on my Doberman
@rokksthedoberman10 жыл бұрын
you should replace the posts once a week or when they start to fall out. if the ears are standing good you can go without a few days , but as soon as they start to droop post immediately. Do this until they no longer droop 4-6 months. After this the tips might still fold a little, you could either still post once in a while to straighten or just tape the tips

Question: My Doberman is about a year old and his ears were cropped and one of them started to flop over. I adopted him so I don't know how long its been that way. Is there anyway to train that floppy ear to stand straight again?
@rokksthedoberman6 жыл бұрын
after posting if ears arent completely standing you can try nose strips. It might not be to late. Here is a good video to show you how to do this. kzbin.info/www/bejne/q3nLZJmal85joKs

my blue boy rogue can hold up his ears but the upper part of his ear (after the natural crease) is still kind of floppy. my vet wanted to stop posting but hes only 4 months old (medium crop) amd I was told to not stop before teething is done....so I'm doing it myself now and want to know if I should use a bridge or not?
@luby30647 жыл бұрын
Absolutely keep going posting through the teething stage. Posting doesn't hurt, so when in doubt just keep posting. If only the very tip of your dobes ears are floppy then use a breath right strip, but if it's more than that just post. Vets are not trained in posting.

How long does the cropping effect last
@rokksthedoberman6 жыл бұрын
Christi Reese it's permanent, sometime they will start to droop, just post a little longer or you can also use nasal strips if it's just the tips that droop

Why are puting her ears up if they already up?????o-0
@rokksthedoberman10 жыл бұрын
They weren't completely up. After a few days they would start to droop. They need to be posted until that no longer happens.

hi.. I have dobie almost 8 months.. will this method still working for him? (he already 3 ft high). how many day should I replace the tampon? how long it take for his ear can stand forever? thank you so much.
@rokksthedoberman10 жыл бұрын
If his ears are already cropped and just tend to droop occasionally it should work. I replace once they tend to fall out or once a week

If we were meant to wear shoes we would have been born wearing them. Shoes are just a stupid invention :(
@melissal33832 жыл бұрын
IF we walked on grass & only outdoor surfaces, then yes, shoes are useless. But once you are on concrete & MANMADE surfaces & you no longer “cup” your feet to avoid sharp objects then shoes are a MUST! Shoes w Arch supports. Indians who wear flat sandals are endemically flat footed! I know, i worked w a foot specialist for over 30 years plus was an MRI tech! We also walk on “safe” surfaces & usually slap around like fred flintstone hence our feet become lazy. Go walk out in the woods w no shoes. Youll get my meaning

Can you do this with actually taking the dog to the vet and having the ears cropped!? I hate how they do that to the dogs of any breed to be honest, I want to be as natural as possible. Would this work instead of the ear being cropped if you did it at 8wks old?
@ELNS976 жыл бұрын
Mystic lmao if it even stood the ear would just be a upright floppy ear It would look like they were born with a defect Ears have to have a proper base in order to stand and sit correctly
