Jesus probably isn’t coming 40 days after the eclipse, but God does send sign of His coming so we know to be watchful. 40 days can be symbolic of a period of trial, or other things. I don’t think we should just write off sign of His coming, but no, we can’t pinpoint an exact moment that He will come. Just rejoice that it’s near :)

The psalms are a good for prayer. Many of them were written as prayers. Also, a simple pattern you could follow is ACTS. Adoration (that's saying how great and awesome God is) Confession Thanks Supplication (requests for things) If you are confused about "end times" stuff, there's a great book free online called The Returning King by Vern Poythress (you can but his books but he puts them all online free because he wants to make sure money doesn't keep people from accessing them). It's a real book, but not insanely long. Hope that helps, but of course I'll pray for you too

I know it sounds crazy but tell him to try an herbal parasite cleanse and then take a high quality probiotic. Gut dysbiosis is an important part of the depression puzzle. I did a couple Parasmart cleanses years ago and it helped me a great deal, I was able to get off antidepressants that I had been on since I was a teen. Praying for God to restore your fathers health and mind in a way more aligned with the will of God. Depression has a way of presenting itself when you feel like you’re failing at something. Help him find purpose, try to aid him in finding out what his goals were and support him in accomplishing them. Once he gets those small wins under his belt he will feel a lot better about himself and want to keep tackling his goals. Don’t let him have time to think alone to attack his own mind. An effective approach to this is building camaraderie by having a group of strong minded men in his circle to hold themselves accountable and push each other. If he likes fishing take him fishing, if he’s a billiards guy go shoot pool. It could be cars, atvs, trucks, exercising, etc. Whatever it is support him in conquering what he likes.
