Honestly, I'm all for non-removable batteries. It's just simpler, not having to worry about carrying spares all the time. My EDC33 lasts a really long time on one charge, so I'm not too concerned about the EDC35's 6000mAh battery either.

I've had the edc33 since they first dropped. It's great, except for the tail button. It has very little travel and the weight to go to full click is pretty heavy. It can cause someone to press and temporarily engage the spotlight on the way to turning on the lower settings. Adding a little more travel and lightening the full press weight might help, as would just using one button on the tail for flood/spot and a separate button for momentary on or full on for the low settings. At night in the house, I've accidentally popped the spotlight when trying to just turn on the lowest setting to avoid waking the wife/kids. A sliding cover, or option to turn off the battery indicators would be cool too. A bright green light coming from your hand could be awkward at the wrong time. Aside from that, it's a beast of a light.

Looks like EDC flashlight makers are going for built-in batteries these days. No point getting hung up on whether you can swap them out or not, right? With so many different models out there, each brand is just trying to offer something that works for everyone. It's pretty hard to find one flashlight that's the absolute best at everything, anyway.😆
