With all due respect... He did not invent "the edge", he is just smart and strong enough to describe it. Knowledge that very few can write down and people understand what he is talking about. Some people hail HST in similiar fashion as Timothy Leary supposed to be some sort of inventor if psychedelic expiriense itself. Leary was also a brave man to journey to those expirienses but you can trip without ever heard of him or hating him. As these sort of things are something everyone can go thru, its an individual expiriense but as a collective we can understand that those things are possible. So dont be the gatekeeper who is carrying Fear & Loathing and think that drug usage makes you special. Special people are special on drugs and off drugs. And a bit more darker... as I was interested on all kinds of beatnik stuff when I was a young adult. I was surprised how people in those circles dont want to see outside that box. For example questons of "matter of life and death", could you kill or be responsable for killing. Beatniks needed take care of there own security. Dealing with notorius parts of society can bring some heavy questons in mind. Some got guns, some got powerful friends, some kept on running and so on... Those philosophical questons are meaningful and not regular day things. Could you kill if its needed to keep yourself safe? We all wondered that when we were young. Time passed and did not want to use hard drugs or heavy drinking more. Then came my childhood favorite business and thats killing business. Military is a killing factory. Thats one of the main things. They even think about these things sober. They even had those silent nights when they tought about life, death, happiness, sorrow, is it all worth it... and I was like "nice, Ive been pondering these a lot". So I dont feel like I betrayed anyone. I feel like I did not betray myself and thats much more important than some drinking buddy who just dont want to "come down" ever. Calm, collective and highly efficient. I still have my notorius ways but they are not in confict with my health or business of "I promised my ear to some people who will never go over the edge" from time to time. So beatnik, hippies and selfclaimed rebels... get your head out of your ass. Otherwise have atleast a decent summer and dont make my time difficult or I will make yours.

I’ve gone over the edge. It’s just a lot of terror and then blackness. You wake up after, but you’re never sure if you really woke up. Then again, maybe that’s just guilt talking.

@@PortCharmers how do you know what he is talking about? In terms of what he means by "The edge?"
@PortCharmers5 жыл бұрын
@@r.a.8861 I don't, really. It's referring to a set of conditions that determine control over a motorcycle or the loss thereof. Come to think of it again, it's not even sharp enough to be called an "edge".
