had an 8 hour rehearsal and this was the final run thru, everyone’s lips were dead so EVERYTHING is either fracked or i fell off. don’t bully me i’ll get sad.

Could anyone from Broken Arrow or familiar with the practice explain why this is all done inside? As a marcher it’s the first time I’ve seen rehearsal being done indoors especially in this setting. I personally would see just a lot of echos too so all I know is practicing outside on a field or marching lot so maybe there is a good reason to all of this and I’m missing it

we normally practice/rehearse at our home high school stadium field. this is our “expo” rehearsal which is indoors with tape markings on the floor so we can get used to the different field geography for grand nationals. that’s for BA at least, not sure for other bands…

@@kenslicka3835 from the woodlands; we do indoors rehearsals like this in the convention center in indy, but nothing other than that, and they definitely aren’t 8 hours lol

As a disclaimer, I’ve never been to grand nats, so I don’t know as well as others, but I would imagine that a large reason for wanting to practice indoors is because Lucas Oil Stadium is an indoor venue. Having played in indoor venues both for BOA and WGI I can definitely say that it can be surprising to members how different it can be from one environment to another if they don’t know what to expect.
