Im in the same boat as you, listened to the podcast, did not read the book, just watched the show. I agree on a lot of your points. A lot of the most iconic scenes weren't present in the show, and it kind of made me a bit let down with it. I think I understand why the Mooble scene and the bad guy was took out, but it was one of the coolest bits in the podcast, Mark's voice acting in it left an impression on me for that scene. I have to go re-listen to the podcast, specifically The Pit, cause that was another scene absent in the show I think? I remember that scene being so cool. Now here's to say one other thing, I did enjoy the show for what it is. I cant wait for a season two or whatever next installment comes out.

That’s true, we didn’t see the pit. I hadn’t thought about that. I think that was replaced by him being chained to the spike

I watched the show before learning about and listening to the audio drama so that might be why see it a lot differently. I feel like narratively speaking the show is a lot more tied together, though the audio drama has a lot of gut-wrenching scenes that either don't exist or just don't hit as hard in the show. Honestly though I love them both to bits
