I have my 8th House Lord in the 1st House Moon, it’s also my Atmakarka, Vargottoma, and in Pushkara Navamsha. My Moon Mahadasha occurred in my early childhood and brought both great things to my life and terrible as well. As an adult I’m still trying to understand it all. I initially came to Jyotish fully 8 months ago after asking God why was I made to suffer. While understanding Astrology has helped answer the question, but my next question is to see if there is more to my life than to suffer.

I am just finishing antradasha of Moon 12th lord in 8th house in Ketu Mahadash (in 11th house), this is a very sinner becoming a saint placement, makes you transform yourself, and I am usually very much into occult and astrology, but these months have been super productive in terms of creativity and socialising. Moon rules 3rd house in my D10 and it is in Dhanishta in 10th house of D10, Jupiter has been going over it few times, I am starting my own business selling my own artwork. Very well said that planets in the 8th house bring long standing disease..My mercury is in the 8th house and st the start of its AD I developed health complications relating to the 8th house..I know it wont go away till mercury AD is over. @@Alyona-ty4pp yes karaka means natural significantor. Each house has universal natural karaka. 8H karaka is Saturn and does govern tax and insurance. Having Sun there ( karaka of government and also karaka of father) fits well with being in the 8H (house of tax and insurance and inheritance ) + on top of that aspected by Saturn itself.
