Exactly. I hope people would take Phelper more into account with this case. He was literally milking the "Yes" out of him, borderline manipulative with it. It was his way of caring and boosting young kids, by binding them and having them commit 100%. I didn't always agree with this style, but now it's not relevant anymore, rip. I would put a considerable amout of pressure regarding this lie to Phelps, maybe 30-40% at least.

As a skater I remember when that happened, and it made me mad at one point: I remember being hyped talking with my friends that in an upcoming video we were about to see this guy bs flipping El Toro, and it didn't happen (until we eventually realized it was a filmed lie). I was like "oh this guy is full of sh**" even tho he was/is one of the best skateboarders around. Anyway time passed and we forgot the whole thing as a chit-chat we all fans do about or idols' lives, until I saw this interview some weeks ago. It was so amazing to see Ryan adressing this topic with such honestly regret, that made me feel like an a**hole from what I thought of him back in the day. The best part of this is the minute 7:13 when Jerome gives peace to Ryan with that "I forgive you" in between laughs; I share that feeling of forgiveness and ask for apologize at the same time for judging out of context to a person Skateboarding is thankful to have around. I think Ryan and we all learn a lesson from this. Thank you, Shecks!
