When my mom passed away 3 year's ago I was devastated. She taught me how to surf on her 5'6 Lis fish when I was 4 or 5. Born & rasied in the Ocean Beach, Sunset Cliffs area was her gift to me. I've surfed and own 6 wooden keel fin fishes. I have quite a few other boards, I used to manage a shop so ya I was never short on a quiver. But my fave's 1. 5'8 Skip Frye 2. 5'10 KG 3. 5'6 Choice/Toby 4. 5'6 G-Star(plus one) 5. 5'10 Larry Mabilel 6. 5'9 John Holly I have no sons, two beautiful daughters, both in College and doing amazing and yes they used to be little surf rats, but get out maybe a handful of times a year. Who will I pass these get down to? The only thing I am certain of is that my mother's Steve Lis fish is my favorite of all. Yes it hauls ass and carves like a hot knife through butter surfs the pocket just right and I've never had better tubes at Newbreak and the Jetty on ANY board better. It was hers that's why I love it so much. 🤙

cause rob is always on some sort of fish shape & Dane is on a fish here? Lol the similarity you’re noticing is just of how the shape performs, but Dane’s style is completely different than Machado.
