Ooft! I felt so much of that! So glad you transmuted that painful experience

It STINGS hard but at the end of the day we must continue with what we feel is right for us as artists, even - especially! - if it ruffles feathers! ✊✊

I used to live next to the troubadour nearly 50 years ago, had been to similar clubs in Southend and London ! All wonderful ! One of best singer song writing friend had been haunting them, playung gigs in clubs and working in restaurants. I had sometimes done a few contributions then , singing some of Brel's French/Belgian songs. Good you grew from these experiences. Such a wonderful story!

Oh Rosie, I really felt that - what a gut punch, especially after such a beautiful night! Makes me angry honestly, that some people (and no experts in the field of songwriting/performance either) find themselves so compelled to knock others down! I'm glad you overcame it, and used it in your favour! ✨

@ArtOfKristal thank you for this beautiful comment! You're so right and as artists we really have to protect our creative energy but being able to distinguish between good, kind hearted feedback people's unqualified opinions!

@@radicalsongwriting Exactly! It's hard enough out there for a sensitive artist, even when people aren't going out of their way to criticise/hurt us. But I know we must find a way to protect ourselves and keep sharing anyway x

@@ArtOfKristal exactly!! That's why we help and support each other along the way, so the art gets made! 💪

When i was a teenager in the 70s, one of the most popular Australian bands at the time had one song "Why don't you all get F*****?" 😅They were my favourite band actually. They got many songs banned from radio and TV airplay which actually made them more popular. And they didn't give a *×*× either because they had a lot of confidence, attitude and talent. It must be different with a band though. Especially a band of young guys. They can boost each other's ego. But as a solo female we're more vulnerable and already there's stereotype that girls shouldn't have attitude, but at least if we pass the test we really earn our confidence. I'm only seeing this video now after a month while wondering where Friday share session is ❤
