I'm glad Spencer and everyone connected to him/his channel has come out stronger from this experience and I'm sure its therapeutic for him to finally get things off his chest Wish you all the best with your future endeavors - you've always pushed the boundaries with content creating on KZbin and I hope that we see more ingenious ideas in the upcoming months/years! Thank you for going through this spen and seb and separating him from other referees including myself because I know many adult referees who do the job brilliantly that don’t deserve to be classed as match fixers.
@toproudtooadmitmitsake18424 жыл бұрын
What is a disgrace there is 0 proof just one person's account, you're a disgrace for guilty by social media trial. It's all hearsay the person offered a version of events 2 years late and destroyed his own credibility in the process.
@toproudtooadmitmitsake18424 жыл бұрын
@Aaron Williams What are you talking about "it isn't less accurate", if you are relying on a witness statement then of course it can be perceived that way if the witnesses character is called in to question. There are protections in place to stop irrelevant evidence of bad character being submitted however there are two main exceptions. 1. Has to do with the alleged facts of the offence with which the defendant is charged, or 2. Is evidence of misconduct in connection with the investigation of prosecution of that offence”. There are also many other gateways this type of evidence can be admissible such as admissible under gateway (c) as ‘important explanatory evidence’. Anything that falls outside of section 98 bad character meaning is governed by section 101, or more commonly known as the seven gateways. The witness statement of someone directly implicated in the original offence is often going to come under extreme scrutiny and that not only ruins the credibility of the witness but also can make the evidence appear inaccurate.
@toproudtooadmitmitsake18424 жыл бұрын
@Aaron Williams It's not common sense at all, what you're saying is what the public would think, I am talking about what the defence would push. Their job when there is only a witness statement with no corroborating evidence which at this point those are the facts of this case so their job is not to care about what is true or false because that may never be established, their job is to call in to question the witnesses credibility and to make their evidence be perceived as inaccurate and unreliable. You're confusing what can be proven in law vs what potentially happened in reality, those two things are in some cases very different. As it currently stands the case has no damning evidence so the defences job is to call in to disrepute the alleged facts and the accuracy of information being provided. It doesn't matter if its actually inaccurate it is just about how you can make it appear based on the evidence available, in a case with more evidence you would be able to establish true or false but in this case the best defence is to attack the prosecutions case due to the lack of evidence and the age of the case. You are right about the general public holding back their opinion but if you understand law you can take in all the evidence to assess the case as it progresses exactly as the defence would do.
@toproudtooadmitmitsake18424 жыл бұрын
@Aaron Williams If you question the accuracy of what I say then simply search the sections I provided it's not like I've just put my opinion with no source I've put the sections and clauses that validate what I'm saying about exceptions in relation to bad character evidence.

I would like to hear from the referee - for him to “want” f2 to lose something must have been pretty bad. What if something was said to the ref pre match? Thank you Spencer for making sure to drive home that this way one ref, and one ref only. I'm a youth ref myself in the US, and I can confirm that, yes, teams have reputations and refs remember them and change based on those. I won't mention locations or teams incase anyone involved sees, but there are coaches that I will admit, not to cheating, but changing the way I call things. I have had coaches that are so terrible, so rude, etc., that I actually looked for ways, not matter how small, to send him off. And I know its wrong, but it happens. And I can guarentee it happens at all levels in all areas. There are also coaches and teams that I genuinely enjoy working with, and those matches I tend to be a bit lighter and let them play more, not call as much. Obviously the rules are the rules and I stand by them, but just know every ref is human, and we all, whether intentional (such as the F2 situation) or not do things we maybe shouldn't, and that's just part of the game

Seb is absolutely right, it really does make you wonder if this type of officiating/cheating happens in professional football too. I would put money on it, certain refs make far too many 'mistakes' against the same teams.

I'll be honest, when the Wembley Cup controversy was happening I blamed you cos I was jumping on the bandwagon with some people saying you was cheating. Now I watch back these and I realise it was my love for the F2 and myself being immature that before I can base an opinion, I need to hear the full story from both sides. You make quality content and I think you are a complete professional and put in so much hard work. I have massive respect for both you and your brother for giving great quality content and it has been spoiled from individuals at times. Love watching your vids man, keep up the great work 👍

So there’s zero tolerance for referees letting emotions get in the way of their professionalism but the horrific abuse given to the officials is still excused as “that’s football” unfortunately I don’t think you can have it both ways fact is there is a huge issue with respect in the game at ALL levels that leads to things like this and it undermines the beautiful game.
@billealey13824 жыл бұрын
Around 80% of referees have reported being subject to verbal or physical abuse from refs as young as 14. Do you think this video will help increase or decrease that statistic?
@SpencerFC4 жыл бұрын
Not at all. If you’re being abused you have cards and even sin bins at lower level. I never abuse refs. I do appeal a lot of things but I do it respectfully. This ref didn’t use the tools at his disposal to react to any abuse he received. He just went against everything the sport stands for.
@felixfraser30344 жыл бұрын
Spencer FC the point he’s trying to make is issues like this wouldn’t occur if players learnt to show respect for them. They can use the cards but all it will lead to is more abuse so it’s counterproductive in the end

@@finntommo7739 if UTR are in we'd need a 6th, would be cool to see if any non-English sides would want to put a side forward as well. There's definitely potential for a good youtube based tournament. In theory... could even have a few spots that are done via open qualifier. Plenty of cool ways to do something like Wembley cup in the future. Would love if it was a full 90 per game though. A 90 minute final at Wembley is a bit better than 2 60 minute games imo

Not surprised by this. The standard of the refereeing has been HORRENDOUS over the past 4-5 years. The implementation of VAR has allowed this behavior to be reinforced and the fact you can’t take the FA to the court of sport and arbitration about it is mind boggling to me. The F2 are a bunch of douchbags and it says a lot that they swayed the refs that much is unbelievable in terms of their character. But you still have to be impartial.

The Wembley Cup at its core was an amazing amazing thing to see as a fan. The first one was amazing, and every year I was so excited when they came back. Spencer is really doing bits. Every time he would switch into something new, I'd be disappointed because I enjoyed so much whatever he was doing before. But then I would soon get into the new thing (Hashtag) so much that I didn't want to see the old thing (FIFA) anymore. Now I just have complete trust that we're going to get good content, and it's going to stay fresh.
