Summer time by the pool was my passion!!! I grew up 30 minutes from MB. I’d be up and out by 9am every morning. Spend the day with my radio a cold drink a lounge chair and float with my kids and their friends swimming and having the best times of our lives and listening to the best music anywhere. 🩵💜🩷💚💙🩷💚🧡❤️ THE SURF..94’9. still listen!! As all parents at times have battles with their older teens. My son (now 52) and I was going thru one and I told him I would apologize for everything, but the music I grew up on and he broke out in laughter. Some years later he called me from Atlanta and turned the music up and told me how much he really liked riding around as a kid with his mom and me listening to this music. We both still love it still listen to it.

Wish I could share this wonderful post with my son [required to listen to oldies dictated by his father (parental abuse per my once then teenage son)]. He's now a guitarist (in his 30's). We still butt heads in our love/hate relationship (funny though, the older our kids get to be, the more they come around to our way of thinking???). Guess it's wisdom seeping in with the inevitable grey hairs. Bless his heart. And as a North Carolinian who also spent her summers in Myrtle Beach, may I say, " 'preciate ya."

I will always love The Embers! Beach is the best music ever. Was anyone else but me at The Pad when the protests were going on one Spring Break? The shot tear gas in the Pad. So guy I didn't know picked me up in his srms and put me out of a window yo escape the tear gas. Po po even had attack dogs. Anyone remember the drink called PJ? It had grain alcohol in it, blinded you, and you ealked around like a zombie! God I miss all the music and dancing in MB and OD. I can still shag dance and love it!!!! ❤❤❤❤

No group anywhere could have as much impact in any genre of music as the Embers did for Beach Music. This classic Medley just can not be trumped. It combines all the element even a hint of Doo Wop. The classic clean presentation of America's Music, Beach Music, will resound in the Halls of the South for ever. Long live Southern Traditions.

We would spend at least 6weeks a year in Myrtle Beach! We played 2001 VIP, Spanish Gallion, and others I can’t remember., we also got played several Beach music Festivals with all the good bands! What memories I have to last a lifetime! I’m still playing but in California now! Sure miss the Beach music
