I wonder if the lady who was turned into a wolf was a herbalist and a medicine woman. She may have learned a lot of knowledge of being such and that is why you are collecting all the plants or fungi. Also her friend may have fallen ill causing the medicine woman to go to stealing supplies and trying to find a cure. This is only a guess for the story so far but I hope to see more. It is so intriguing!
