imagine cid being a souls boss, or elden ring boss successful interruptions lead to him scolding you for ruining his fun as you spam attack him. unsuccessful ones lead to one hit deaths, and no attempts to interrupt lead to him delaying his next attack for a few seconds as you get back up if you survived. early level players that get one hit killed because they found him are penalized, and he doesn't show up until you come back hours later. penalties include 10% stronger damage received or when fighting bosses, you lose control of your character as they attack the boss in anger. (temporarily i mean)
