Would be nice if the story has a happy ending like this ❤️ The original version has two endings. First, both the queen and emperor were murdered so the story end in tragedy. Then their souls traveled back to the modern times and they met again as men (happy ending??). I believe this drama want to deliver a message to the audience: Do not discriminate against the gay because you would never know what have brought them together (I.e., they could be husband and wife in past life). I heard part of the drama were cut/banned in China.
