Sun Tzu; defeat your enemy without firing a shot is the greatest form of warfare.

Sun Tzu would not have been stupid enough to tell his enemies how he did it. That brain fart seems to be part of many of the A.I. stories.

Very good story, original angle. Very "Twilight Zone". Well done!

...which is also pretty unlikely. The Wonder about Reality is, that there are no Wonders. The periodic System is complete. Carbon is a very variable Element - Life on Earth cal tell You that. Carbon, Water and all the other Stuff is in Abundance across this Universe. Life on a Basis of Silicates... Maybe. But Crystals? Which are Minerals in the next Vicinity to Stones? I have pretty much Imagination, but these Crystal Guys were pretty stiff and brittle, don't You think? Cybernetical Beings, who have surpassed their Creators are much more likely. Even the Theory of living Machines sounds thinkable. Imagine Beings built out of synthetic Biomass - their Bodies built out of Nanocells, so to speak. Technology like that could even convert human Beings into Synthoids - very well suited for Space Exploration. Transhumanism at it's best.

A humble and freely offered idea- when the Aliens reach Pearl Harbor at 7:40 in the Tale, what if a ghost appeared. What if, where the tomb USS ARIZONA MEMORIAL resided the energy spike "appeared" and the Aliens saw with their scanners a semi-transparent, blue glowing phantom of the USS ARIZONA as it appeared 07: 50 hours 07 December 1941. As soon as the Aliens begin calling their C.I.C. with the notice of the spike, the Phantom USS ARIZONA vanishes and the captain of the cloaked alien scout ship, for an instant that seem eternally long, he thinks he feels an icy-cold Human Hand wrapped around his throat before the specterly felt Hand vanishes as well. What happens next; the Alien Scout Ship Captain thinks to himself, "now I truly understand the meaning of FEAR".

The story line of telling an enemy how you did everything is stupid.
@puffnstuff1219 күн бұрын
This pattern is repeating across every story I've seen so far and would never happen in reality. It's almost like someone is trying to condition people into believing that its normal to do so.
@petergaskin181112 күн бұрын
No military force would do that; ever.
@Iznuts6910 күн бұрын
@@puffnstuff12 yes and its stupid. you dont even give allies your full military abilities and details... also the rebuilding of the enemies empire, they came to annihilate us, theres zero chance i'm even dropping them a porta-potty to use.

Maybe dumb, maybe not. A superior force can show its strength in part while holding back what is known about counter-measures for what has been shown to an enemy. This might lead an enemy to spend resources, money and time to replicate what is shown lulling that enemy into a false sense of overconfidence. This can also have a very deleterious impact on the enemy's civilian and military infrastructure. Result ? A hastening of the capitulative destruction of the enemy .

Once the discrepancies showed up, a savvy Captain would have "heard" the warning and deployed agents wearing personal camouflage to collect Intel other than what their sensors could have blindly misinterpreted.

A product of the Mill & Boon sci-fi story library. Every person has two names, Lt. So & So etc., Colonel So & So and so on. And no one ever in the history of the World would tell an enemy how you did it.
