I use to be the controlled Garden Empress due to my upbringing...but now I am so happy that worked through the Hierophant card in my life, and learnt to make my own choices and I now live in the relaxed, free flowing Empress spirit. And its so amazing to me that the less I have tried to control my life ,and the outcomes in my life, that things have flowed to me quicker. I realise now the control was blocking my growth. The empress is a card that comes up so much to represent myself and it got to a point where I was like you know what let me put this on my dressing table and look at it everyday. So I can be reminded to embody empress energy at all times. Which is all the things you've listed and it's been very helpful. And I've done this too with other cards that keep coming up for me like the high priestess. And I'm slowly getting into that too ❤ This explanation was very helpfu, thank you :)

I get chills. I'm in a moment of alot of change within myself. I was told to focus on one card at a time. I've been doing daily draws but pecking away at learning the cards on a deeper level. Today I start to look at the Empress, I'm at a point in my life where I am learning just how much control I have tried to have over the things around me and I am only just now learning to let go. I am healing a stress related illness and it’s very challenging to just let go at times when you want to help yourself. I pulled the Empress this morning - I woke up feeling really frustrated and unsure of how to help myself and the Empress was my message to just let go and know that this is where I am supposed to be. the features of this card recall a lot of the feminine and Venusians traits of Taurus zodiac sing. the chair also has Venus's symbol on it. it's amazing because I realized I do let my plants grow in my secret garden a lot, but sometimes I let it too wild and when it happens to be too much there's heavy work to do :) (Taurus rising btw!) My side hustle primarily centers around holistic healing and creativity. I try to tap into my empress energy every time I am working on my project. It requires a creative flow that’s unstructured, allowing things to unfold naturally. While this approach can sometimes lead to less productivity or organization, finding balance is essential.

What I have learned so far ; When I am a Magician I work a lot aiming at buying a house while I focus my toughts and meditation, and studying to get better at work or taking a better job or investiment, in order to manifest the house I want.. work and attention.. The empress tells me I can change this or that in my imagined house, while I go by in life seeing this model of a house in magazin, or when someone comes up casually saying a friend has a nice not expensive house to sell, then I take a look , take my time to decide.. or I can wait . I have time before I leave the place where I live.. Two distinctive forces within guiding and helping me manifest it. there is another aspect of the Emperess, there´s always someone out there to do things for you... I guess the best is not to abuse this but be greatfull when that comes as a help.

I love your analogy of the “uptight” garden vs. the garden that is maintained, but wilder and freer! It really resonates with me because my mom was a gardener. Our front yard was highly manicured and our backyard was allowed a beautiful tangle of vines, native plants and flowers, and fruiting trees. Our backyard was my favorite place to place because it was filled with wonders!

I Love my garden. Every year I start planning my garden in February. I make a well laid plan, everything organized, all in order and then BAM! I've read tarot for years, but decided to listen to your series as kind of a refresher course, and because I have always enjoyed your videos. I wanted to add something in reference to the shadow side of the Empress. I am a Healing Therapy practicioner and instructor and almost without exception, the women who come to me with breast cancer are poster children for *over-nurturing* others at the expense of themselves. This has always struck me as the negative side of this card. Great series, and I am really looking forward to watching the rest. Thank you so much for doing these videos. ETA: What about "Empress" in the sense of the word of powerful female ruler, i.e. Empress Mathilda? Also, Allow is my word of the year. The Arcturians did a wonderful channeling about allowing.

Hi Kate, this was great! Love the empress. Made my fire circus one holding a flaming staff in one hand with a heart and keyhole in the other. Very nature connected, heart connected, and water-y. She is wearing a blue dress too. And theres a rainbow behind her. She's very at one. I loved your description of her - made me think about receptivity, allowing, and enjoying. All good things. LOL - My garden definitely looks more like an Empress garden than a perfect manicured garden. My husband and I have full custody of our 4 year old grand-daughter, so I appreciate learning about the Empress. To be nurturing but also to let go. I imagine her as mother nature or Gaia, a concept that I really love, god as female, the female goddess or the female aspect of creation, I like how you explain things in a philosophical way (or maybe that's how I am taking things) there is always something new to learn from you, not just the meaning of the card. Knowledge about archetypes that can be applied to our inner world where there are those archetypes as well.

Great video! What's your sign!? Your method of approaching tarot is really interesting to me. Maybe it's a classical way I'm not sure. It's like you interpret negative energy as a perversion of an energy or as the extreme where some interpret it as whatever is opposite. When you ask a question like "should I let go?" and you get the empress, to me it would still mean you let go of maybe that pride or whatever new thing you're trying to birth, or that the flow will stop. It reminds me of the plow card the opposite of that would mean laziness to me but maybe that's a novice interpretation. Love your vibe! Love the video!
