I think where you start after the First cutcene(Before the Fight)

After you take him out, look forward and to the left. You'll see the Mosin Nagant (a rotating box) there. Easy to miss if you're not looking for it. Hope this helps!

Thanks! And actually, the box has a tactical advantage on inclines. If you equip the box on hills or slopes, you’ll keep pretty much the same speed where if you do not have it equipped, Snake slows down. Good question!
