The end in sight !

This might be the last project post video for now as next time I film hopefully it will be as we launch the boat again and go for a sea trial. There is stuff left to do - for example I am going to lift the boat and re-position it on the trailer. It's been a hard push this week and I feel absolutely beaten up but the effort has, I think, been worthwhile. For the first time this week I have been able to stand back from the boat and see it in it's final form.....as a Lug yawl. I am very aware that boats are never truly finished - except perhaps on the day that you sell her : the 'legend' of WABI is still it's original Zen meaning : 'Nothing is complete (finished), Nothing is perfect (It's never right) and Nothing is permanent........this has always defined boats for me - never done, never right and always breaking.

Thank you. The boat looks wonderful. I have looked ,on line, at a hunter liberty. I want to do some cruising and am looking for a boat that is easy to reef etc for a squall! I was very taken by the SCAMP but I wouldn’t have the patience to build one. I think now you have an outboard you have a ‘fail safe’. This will give you more choice if conditions are not ideal!! Happy boating.

Great! Perhaps you could share some of your longer term plans for using the boat. Ps where did you manage to source the lanolin?
