Congrats, Congrats, Congrats!! I am so happy for you, that you got the job! Since you are already a few days into it, I hope it is everything you hoped it be! You were dressed for success for sure! I also hope everything went well with the lift out, move and drop in of the boat, as well as pulling it to where the boat will live at, going forward. (Cant wait for your next video). ... Is it possible to get a boat fuel injector repair /rebuild kit& your brother using that to fix it? Its worth a try as it is cheaper, however of course not all can be fixed that way. I hope yours can. I know you said you never ever want to take the boat for a cruise. After all this, it is understandable you currently feel that way. (You know there is a but coming) The boat should first be obviously completely fixed before you attempt such a thing. Because it wouldn't be enjoyable otherwise, unless you are looking for some sort of addt punishment. Get the bathroom, water and gas situation fixed. Plus of course the engine sorted out. This probably will take you to at least fall, early winter. It doesnt make sense to cruise in less than ideal weather, so I'd think you may feel differently by next Spring. I mean come on, this adventure is what legends are made of. Boats are meant to be used & taken out, at least, every once in a while. I promise its a ton of fun, when everything actually works. Plus taking a short mini vaca to get away from the day to day, while being able to take your home with you.. there is nothing better, and its cheap. So it wont hit your savings acct, leaving it alone for your dreams of a future bigger boat. Meaning you wont feel the need to take actual vacations that cost money nearly as much, while archiving the same results. Its a total win in my book. ... I am glad you got to know the power of baking soda lol. Combine it with some vinegar for some small but fun and enjoyable explosive actions (or big one if both are mixed in a non expandable container, now pls dont ask me how I know this). These two ingredients mixed carefully and slowly together, make an incredible cleaning solution that gets rid of the nastiest dirt and smell (the inside of the poo container for example). And yes, warm weather and mixing both liquids and poo together, while not changing it out regularly & no valve for things to escape out off, its like asking for a poo shower, when one opens it up. Braver men have cried when it happened to them, trust me; its not a mistake one needs to learn more than ones lol. But now that you have your job sorted, the boat hopefully where it belongs, things can move forward again with the Restauration project of your boat. I really am very happy that things are looking up for you! Was about time! Thanks for taking us along & letting us be part of your journey

Survived most of the drama. Though it’s the head gasket needs attention at end. Not a canal fix sadly. Something to do boat getting to destination / when am sorted out. But work to settle in to and bits. Less a drama with engine knowing can’t be fully fixed on way. Baking powder is explosive at least! 😂 things should all level out a bit now
@BellaTrix07074 ай бұрын
@@HistoricHospitality Well, if it is the head gasket, that is indeed a bigger job. I dont know when the next blacking is due. Maybe you can combine the two? Some Marina's have shop spaces or a place to get the boat blacked nearby. Setting it up, to be done simultaneously will save you a lot of money and heartache. Its just a thought, and some to keep in mind, so you know where to best put it on the boat to-do list. (Meaning if you can get the boat lifted out for a week for the blacking & the place has a shop on-site, they will take out the engine& repair it, while you (??) black the boat (or let them do it). Yes, things should indeed level out a bit & best of all you are able to kick life into gear again. It really seemed you were so over done with Manchester & couldn't wait to leave it behind; it almost seemed like Manchester didn't want you to leave. It deffo tried hard& threw everything at you, like an old Ex that just cant move on hahaha. I am so excited for the future videos (of course the conclusion as well). It looks like you will be well on your way to get the boat worked on soonish again (deffo a good idea, before Winter hits), which means addt Narrowboat content. With you being in London, there wont be any shortage for great historical videos either. Maybe even some of you visiting Museums.. Well, I better stock up on some popcorn. I too am finally making some headway. Been at it 4.5 yrs now. I am nearly done having the outside jobs of the house finished. When done, I'll be taking a week long break, playing the new Fallout London mod. Then it's time to move inside the house. I already finished all big inside jobs, so it's just sorting things out & then finding Mum an apartment to buy that is left& making sure she is well situated, before I take off. I was asked if I want to head to UA (Ukraine) to teach mechanic classes for women for a month or two, and help out in a few shops, and teach some general building classes (also for woman) before heading to UK. I am considering it. We'll see how my dogs are, as they are nearing 15 yrs of age, not sure if they are up for it. They've been with me all their life, so where I go, they go. See, we all have& create our own adventures in our lives ;) As I said, I'll be stocking up on some popcorn.
