I just received my Mdv-107 pepsi version with no Marlin on dial and I fail to see what all the fuss is about??? It is still the same watch just without the stupid Marlin on it and i personally prefer without as it looks cleaner to me. Who cares though really, come on!

Wow i bought the black MDV- 1A marlin duro in 2011 in Abu Dhabi .i still use it .i never knew it was a legend and that Bill gates wears it ... i feel like billionaire now 😂

They should have upgraded the no Marlin logo models crystal from mineral to sapphire.. I would gladly pay another $10 for a 106 and trade the fish logo for a sapphire crystal..

People have done sapphire upgrades. It's not impossible to find sapphire following same specification if you really want and then install it, or having a watchmaker install it.

To smooth out a stiff rotating bezel.....Put a tiny drop of baby oil to lubricate the bezel, oiling gap is at 6 o'clock side under the bezel.

Why do people call the Duro "marlin"? That's obviously not a Marlin. It's a sailfish. The Marlin's dorsal fin peaks just above its head and tapers down drastically from there. The sailfish is what's portrayed on the front and back of the Duro. Don't take my word for it, just search "marlin vs sailfish" and find out for yourself.

marlin is easier to pronounce and nice nick name compared to sailfish. just like citizen fugu. people don't call it citizen blowfish.
