It's an act of global vandalism. They are actively destroying a community of thousands that could have provided guidance and help to countless present and future photographers. What they do here now will resonate for many years to come and may in fact be partly responsible for the collapse (or acceleration of the collapse) of standalone cameras as a market.

The weirdest and most cruel decision made by Amazon, the parent company of DPreview, ever. This is terrible and sad news for sure!! Appreciate everything both of you and DPReview have provided through the years. Your knowledge and unbiased reviews were always the videos I waited for when there was a product release. The website was always my go-to for in-depth equipment reviews to help me make the best decision in purchasing gear. Thank you to everyone involved at DPReview. I look forward to following both of you to see what is next!

The news that dpreview and you guys are being terminated is terrible news. As you say, this is devastating to the entire photographic community. Hope you two will find a way to continu, and I am sure you will have an immense following right from the start. Much respect and a big hug to you guys and to the entire staff of dpreview.

Gutted. I started my photography journey last May and have gone all in since then. The DP Review forum has and still continues to be a huge part of my learning, as well as the videos. Thank you, you've given so much to the community.
