Add me to the surprisingly long list of those who finally finished the romans series. Im feeling rather humbled right now as i thought i would be the only one who stuck it through 😂😂 But for real im so glad and grateful for you mike. I started it 4 months ago and in this time i feel like a blanket has been lifted from my eyes and i can finally see. I focused so so much on following the law and relying on that for my salvation, and the whole time i was scared of going to hell and not to heaven because i wasnt good enough at not sinning. Now i finally understand Gods grace is what covers me and not the law. Or my weird idea of what the law was which was stupid and tbh self serving. I was growing very tired of trying to become perfect. This series has strengthen my understanding and because of the holy spirit i have been strengthened and grown as a christian woman..i think back to how i was before i started this series and now and i cant beleive the difference in my walk with God and how it has improved. I cant wait to read romans again and get what its saying. I cant wait to do more of your teachings. Thank you mike!!!

Made it through! Honestly sad its over, but what else needs to be said? What got me into this channel was the Jesus in the OT series, so it was cool to finally come to this series and hear about your first thoughts of doing that one. Thank you for your work. This was absolutely wonderful in helping me understand some particulars that seemed so difficult before you explained them! Can you please do a verse by verse crawl through the entire Bible like this? Lol ❤

Thank You so much for these studies. I have learned so much through this series. There is nothing quite like being "washed with the word". I have never enjoyed a verse by verse approach more than I did this series. It is so relevant to life. Isn't that incredible, after 2000 years? Fantastic stuff- please keep doing what you're doing. (Thank your wife too from me, as a wife who knows what it's like to have a lovely husband "doing ministry" 😉)

Well Mike, I've spent more than work week's worth of hours with you in Romans for the last 6 weeks or so. I thank you for year clear and concise nuts and bolts teaching. Along with your teachings I've also spent many hours with John MacArthur, Bob Utley and a few others that I trust with The Word. I have been blessed by the doctrines of The Faith through which this careful study of Romans reveals to us. Although I've read Romans many times over the years, your gift of teaching with detail, context, culture of the day etc. has truly brought this ah-mazing epistle to life for me this year. I'm reading through the Bible in a Year now and your Finding Jesus in the Old Testament has been very helpful and insightful. Thank you for your teaching and I'm looking forward to hanging with you for many years to come and hearing you grow and mature. You're starting to feel like a friend to me and I look forward each day to studying Scripture with you. While your choir boy goody two shoe character and your awkwardly silly jokes can be groan inducing they are part of your unique character and teaching style. Just be careful of your pride and judgement and for goodness sake, leave the Calvinists alone. Your smug belittling of a Scripture interpretation by trusted pastors who subscribe Calvinism is off putting. I am praying for you to continue to be faithful and true to The Word. "Now to Him who is able to establish you in accordance with my gospel, the message I proclaim about Jesus Christ, in keeping with the revelation of the mystery hidden for long ages past, but now revealed and made known through the prophetic writings by the command of the eternal God, so that all the Gentiles might come to the obedience that comes from faith- to the only wise God be the glory forever through Jesus Christ! Amen!"

_That WAS very cool, Pastor Mike!_ Thanks for the "nice little bonus" about Erastus. Could you please tell us about Gaius now? 😁 Seriously though, thank you for this study. Romans is one of my favorite books in Scripture (if I could choose a favorite, that is), and I'm looking forward to the Jesus in Genesis study. I've been reading about and hearing a lot of teachers talking about "types and shadows" in Scripture lately. Hmmmm.....perhaps that's because it's Pentacost, but more likely it's the Holy Spirit. And that's just fine with me!

2531 views at 10:06 am Nov 15 with 25 comments and 87 likes and 1 dislike.... Praise God. The book of Romans I memorized In 1968 I was 16 years old, and in 16 days I memorized one chapter a day driving around the field on the tractor. Yes, I memorized All the names in Ch 16. I was not deluded. It came into my mind. I only received Christ as my savior when I was 20 years old in Lamorlaye France. European Bible Institute..EBI. IBE

I have a question. Do you think Romans 16:25-27 refers to all three persons of the trinity? I think "him that is of power to stablish you" sounds like the Holy Spirit, and "God only wise" and Jesus Christ are in verse 27. I thought that was an interesting possibility. This series continues to be a valuable resource and a blessing in 2024!

34:00 Christians try to claim that there are multiple “Gospels” who hold to dispensationalism. Saying we only need to follow Paul and what he says in Romans-Philemon, the ones I encounter do this to get rid of the strongest teachings on baptism.
@MikeWinger6 жыл бұрын
That seems seriously problematic to me.

as far as I know...there are not many gospels, even to the dispensationists....it is just a ....looking forward to....and a....looking back, at....yet this teach on baptism...I dont know what you are referring to...
