Despite FNAF VHS being RIDICULOUSLY popular these days, Squimpus McGrimpus 's OG VHS tapes are still absolutely legendary, and it might come as a surprise to you but we've never actually covered it on the channel!
Not only did Squimpus CONCEIVE of FNAF VHS as a genre, but their own series holds up INCREDIBLY WELL to this day.
Squimpus doesn't really post on KZbin anymore - when they finished FNAF VHS they indicated that they weren't super into horror and were content to let the series sit. I think that's cool unto itself; whatever you make think of Squimpus, they are certainly not a sellout, and they're obviously a very, very talented artist/animator/filmmaker/whatever you wanna call them.
Regardless, if you enjoyed this video, please go over and give Squimpus a sub. They deserve tremendous praise for conceptualizing this amazing genre that's become so popular.

This video is a bit of an experiment; rather than just synopsizing the series as is, I've tried to retell my own interpretation of, combining Squimpus Tapes, Battington's remakes, and even some completely unrelated footage that just happens to fit.

I was listening to music the other day and I suddenly had this vision of Fazbear Frights burning to the ground at the end of Squimpus series, only it was all like, epic and anime. That's the reason this video exists; if you watched all the way to the end, you'll know what I'm talking about, and yes it was totally worth it .
It may come as a surprise to some of you that we've never covered the legendary Squipmus McGrimpus' FNAF VHS series! There's a reason for that, and it's mostly because Wendigoon already made a much better Squimpus video than I could. The reality is, if you wanna watch FNAF VHS, I mean you should just go watch it! Thus, I went into this video with the mindset of retelling Squimpus story with the kind of pacing that works better for my videos.
I decided that if I was going to cover the series, I wanted to interpret it and hopefully add something new and potentially interesting to the table, and thus I've taken a LOT of liberties in how I tell the story (though to be frank I do that in every VHS/analog horror video). This is not a faithful retelling of Squimpus' story; as I said, Wendigoon already did that, and the series is easily accessible to all. This is FNAF VHS... but like, theft kind synopsis style.
