i actually do think that Smash salt has gone down significantly for in-person events. people accept that they win/lose because of skill since it's been long enough that it boils down to that. as for online, the only losers who are salty sit right beneath the elite smash threshold and make everyone else's life miserable (namely Fox, Hero, and Sonic mains)

I highly doubt he controls the ads at all. He (or whoever may run the channel) showed support for Styles in the description regardless.

And the difference is that this video wouldn't be up in the first place allowing marss to generate revenue from reacting to it had it not been for Styles uploading. Also Yes, you can control ads and depending on the length of the video, you can control where you want to place multiple of them. Crediting him in the description just seems more like a slap on the shoulder after all that more than anything.
