@@donmadara3492 . two possibilities:- 1) There were total 7 blood masters . remember that only out out 7 , only 4 including the Blood master are KIA. the rest 3 were in the old world. only blood master knew about their whereabouts. so yeah, either the remaining 3 could be dead at the hands of blood master or spared by him on exchange for alliance against humanity or somehow survived and waged another war against him till Zack blew the nuke. 2) we don't know if the new world vampire overlords including blood master is dead or not. They are after all . a kind of neural infecting parasitic worm with high resilience. if host destroyed they can escape and live another day. though i hope the blood master is gone for good in the nuke since they were in ground zero and not survive due to any plot writer's whimsical thoughts. peace.

Vasiliy is just the best and most great character in The Strain. The only real man. The prise for babyface is for Eichorst. The prise for most hot babe is for Nora. Eph is just a fool of a Took. And Zach, i hate that adolescent copy. Little Zach from season 1 i miss you. Little Zach was cute and loves his daddy.

I forgot a couple of things in my comparison.. The way Quinlan was described in the book, he looked like Eichorst did in the beginning of the episode where he's putting his face on. Also, his eyes were a deep crimson, not the armor - piercing blue that they gave him on the show

After reading the books, I noticed differences.. Dutch isn't in the books. The canon events happen to Nora instead. Vaun isn't mentioned. They describe the hunters, but Quinlan is the only one mentioned by name . Quinlan and Abraham never meet. He tells Fet that they almost met, but he wasn't sure of his intentions 😮

This show's biggest mistake was killing Nora.... It should have been Nora at the end there with Fet. If that had happened this series would be a 10/10. Unfortunately, the show tried to be something it's not (The Walking Dead) when the staff said, "we wanted to show that no one is safe." I was very embarrassed for them when they said that. Dutch essentially became Nora's character after that, so killing Nora was absolutely pointless. I really love this show. But that mistake (especially for the reasons they did it) was unforgivable. If anyone has read the novels, they will know that nothing "major" was changed after killing Nora, making their statement as to why they did it even more stupid. These are just my opinions of course. Anyway, I still love this show... And getting full closure to the series was very satisfying. Brilliant.

Yes I agree. I liked Dutch, but her part in bringing an end to the world as we know it should have been addressed more strongly; and she definitely shouldn't have been put in the place of Nora. The show was uneven at times; but over all I liked it.

I'll admit this show did have some flaws, mine were mainly Zach being an annoying pile of shit (I hated him even in season one) and Eph's giant ego and controlling behavior. What I mainly liked was that it was a break from the generic zombie apocalypse genre.

And another thing, I have not read the novels yet but there were a lot of characters I didn't like Zach I hated from the start. Nora I don't know why but she utterly pissed me off so I didn't mind her dying. Even if it strayed from the books. Eph's ego and controlling behavior (as I said before) and the fact that he constantly cheated. First on his wife with Nora, then that blonde chick in Washington dc, then when Nora died he moved on to dutch. The master I liked the first two seasons but after a while he just seemed more cowardly than scary. Eichorst was the same he was intimidating (and honestly he couldn play a perfect James Bond villain) but the moment he bowed down to bolivar/master he became more of a puppet in my eyes. Dutch I'm pretty neutral on but she should not have been let off the hook as easily. Palmer on the other hand I began to like him in later seasons, at first I thought he was a typical rich shithead, but I liked how they showed his backstory and such. The only problem I had with Quinlan was that he should've had a more honorable death. But him, along with Gus, Fett, and Abraham were the characters that I liked throughout the series.

SPOILERS!!!! Gus died Ephraim is the one who detonates the bomb. Abraham died at the end of Book 2. He gives the Lumen to Fet to translate He used his pills on The Master, which is what makes him take Bolivar The Master takes Quinlan as his final host

The downfall of this otherwise (Admittedly cheesy) but gripping series could have definitely gone a different way. One that made much more sense but it didn't. Imo it unfortunately ended as a beautiful waste of potential. I REALLY enjoyed this show but in the end it really fell short. Now who's fault that is. I doubt we'll ever know. But I'd be willing to bet it was based on the almighty dollar

Lame love (=> Zack and this entire "My son"-whining, and the backstapping etc. pp. brought us to the extinction). "Love is the death of duty", Maester Aemon, but you can also read MacBeth to get an example that it can be done otherwise, when MacDuff sacrifices his family for the good of the people. Putting duty over love...but who is Shakespeare compare to these writer and Zach?! The entire Goodweather family was a bane to this show.

It's not that love 'saves' the world, but that it can be manipulated both ways. That's what I think Fet is saying. Zach's need for love enabled the master to manipulate him through the vestiges of his mother or his love for Abby, the servant girl, while Zach's love for his father decided the fate of the Master and the strigoi. It isn't clear-cut in the sense that 'love prevailed' but that love, as a human emotion, drives people to action. This story could have ended much differently if Eph was dead and Zach grew to wholeheartedly love the master.
