Being the official translator for this series is extra tough when you gotta push it out the day after the chapter drops in Japan. So those little goof-ups are practically inevitable. Hopefully Viz allows a second pass for the volume release, but I'm not sure that's a thing they do. One oversight Lillian mentioned in her recent Reddit AMA is that the 3 mafia families are supposed to spell out SHU/EI/SHA (Jump's parent company). So I suppose a more accurate translation would be "Shu-Yu", "Ei-Ly", and "Sha-R". But she also came through with the "Phantom Troupe" translation on pure instinct, which ended up being a miracle when their backstory finally dropped.

One interesting missing detail is what has happened to Halkenburg's Nen Beast? Since his body is dead there are a few options. Did it just disappeared when the physical body died? Or maybe it's still guarding the dead body since Halkenburg's soul is still alive? Or is the Nen beast actually following Halkenburg in Balsamico's body? That would be a disadvantage because it would give away to any nen user that Halkenburg is possesing that body or at least that something weird is going on, so probably not this one, but it would be funny if he wasn't aware of it since he can't see it. But it could also be his way to prove that he is Halkenburg and have a claim to the throne.

If nen-based abilities transfer, I see no reason why spirit beasts wouldn’t also transfer. However, since the princes got the spirit beasts from placing their hand in the jar (urn?), - and, again, presuming the beasts do transfer - wouldn’t Halkenburg be able to place his hand in again to prove he’s one of the princes even if he weren’t in a princes body at the time? I have to believe the urn/jar’s recognition of a prince goes beyond simply flesh and bone Edit: I did not consider the fact that Nen-users can see the beasts which would give away any possession that Halkenburg personally does (although I don’t recall if they’re always seen or only when their ability is active).

Mafia bosses like Onior or Brocoli have their hideouts in upper tiers (we see that when Zhang Lei went to Onior for a talk), the vice bosess/underbosses of Kakin mafia have their headquarters in the tiers they control (like when PT came to Char-R headquarters on tier 5 and they didn't meet Brocoli but Char-R vice boss and underboss Wang) one of the reason PT is even involved in Heil-ly war is to eventualy use the passage to upper tiers which is in Char-R underboss headquarters (the misterious door).

I have a fun theory that Zeno or Silva are aboard the Black Whale One somewhere. They are the best assassins in the world and its likely they were hired as a bodygaurd for one of the queens or maybe even for beyond or king nasubi back when the round of hiring was done that kurapika and the association participated in. also at the end of york new city arc for chrollo to get the hit canceled on him he placed a hit on the "mafia" and were taken out by Illumi, effectively giving the Zoldycks complete control over the criminal underground of the rest of the world outside of Kakin Empire. (theoretically) So its possible they could be working from within to take out competition or just to make some money. This would give a tiny amount of explanation to why Illumi accepted a position among the Phantom Troupe even knowing Hisoka wants to kill him. His alterior motive is to help his family secure more power in the criminal underground by being aboard the BW1 and causing mayhem while keeping his brother safe. I'm really just trying to think of ANY way i can get Silva back in the story :( he's so cool.

​@@user-kw9hg9o i think the characterization benjamin has received these last few chapters points to that, he is a decently honorable and smart guy who has the guts to make hard decisions, so i think thus would be the preferred outcome for halkenburg as to whom to share responsability for kakins future, the hard-line loyal traditionalist and the revolutionary/reformist. tserriednich would be the dramatic irony path the story could take, good boy halkenburg being forced to live in the body of a monster because of his conviction and sacrifice. they would be a beast of a nen user also, tserriednich and halkenburg have very interesting synergy in the way their nen aptitude works, halk is an emitter(i think) with an enhancement nen beast and tserriednich is a pure specialist afaik as is his nen beast. so its basically a combo never seen before or even possible(*with the caveat these nen abilities beasts and such transfer with the soul, which is unclear rn)
