Although some people have heard about this understanding of Christian eschatology, many today have not, so it is new to many people out there. This is the case for postmillennialism, a more positive way to understand Christian eschatology.

There are some text that can have a different context: Zechariah 14:16 "16 And it shall come to pass, that every one that is left of all the nations which came against Jerusalem shall even go up from year to year to worship the King, the Lord of hosts, and to keep the feast of tabernacles. 17 And it shall be, that whoso will not come up of all the families of the earth unto Jerusalem to worship the King, the Lord of hosts, even upon them shall be no rain. 18 And if the family of Egypt go not up, and come not, that have no rain; there shall be the plague, wherewith the Lord will smite the heathen that come not up to keep the feast of tabernacles. 19 This shall be the punishment of Egypt, and the punishment of all nations that come not up to keep the feast of tabernacles." With Jesus already here there will be nations that do not will worship him or accept his Law, there will be a process of years until all nations recognize Jesus is the lord. Also says that after the 1000 years Satan will be free again for a little time, so Jesus return to heaven Until all enemies are under his feet again? so science need to first invent a method to avoid death and then Jesus that saves us from death comes back? ... have you ever tought that "the mark of the beast" may be a human way to avoid death that later end in a horrible death? instead of trusting Jesus and wait for his salvation and wait for the tree of life again as recorded in revelations?... the full context is way more complicated but may be more clear.

A Lot of what you said makes sense, sounds good & technically Christ has been ruling since the beginning. The problem I see with what you are saying is that the world is not getting better &, if any anything, the Church is losing ground with society becoming more secularised & more hostile toward Christ then any other time in history since His resurrection. Revelation also talks of a time when Satan will be bound for a 1,000 years & that too has also not happened. If anything Satan now has the upper hand (so to speak) right now with the world moving closer to him rather than closer to Christ. No I believe just as Israel failed to be God's witness to the world, so too has the Church. I also believe this was always part of God's plan because He foresaw mankind's weakness & inability to be bold witnesses because of our pride, arrogance & self-centeredness. For those reason, along with many more too numerous to speak of here, I believe it make more sense that we are headed towards a future with a literal rule of a real "anti-Christ' who will bring about hell on earth Then Christ will return to destroy Satan & evil once & for all.

Good video, and I agree with a lot of, if not most of what is being said. I'm not sure about the part though where you claim that people will be ready (as in willing) to welcome Christ back when he returns. What do you make of Christ's question "When the son of man returns, will he find faith on earth?" For me, this seems to indicate a widespread apostasy from faith in Christ. What are your thoughts about this? Thanks.

That’s Great, start Reading the Bible don’t be a jehovah witness, they’re wrong on the first verse of the Bible! Elohim is plurality of God in Hebrew just like six chapters later, Nephilim is the “fallen ones” in Hebrew, it’s plural, same suffix-im! So if they’re wrong on the first verse of the Bible that’s a bad start! Gods pronouns are “us and we” , because he is plural!

@@InspiringPhilosophy The major problem with prophecy is that much of itis speculation. One clear example is the rapture. As it stands today, there are 8 (eight) interpretations of what point the rapture will take place. I have no real proof of what point the rapture will take place and if one is honest neither does anybody else but try to reason with anybody who believes in 1 of the 8 interpretations, nobody is going to change their mind, so when it comes to eschatology it's best never to be dogmatic about much of this stuff.

@@InspiringPhilosophy EXACTLY brother Michael Jones God bless The Inspiring Philosophy Apologetics ministry. I'm glad I read The Gospels as a child especially because John 1:1 He's God Almighty manifest in flesh as The Scriptures say. AMEN brothers and sisters in Christ our Lord and God bless you ALL 🙏❤️👊. If Atheists care about what's true why do many Atheists only question theists and people who have religious beliefs and not Atheism itself, Atheists/agnostics and secular humanists 🤔? Atheism ain't got nothing new or better to offer than the very religious beliefs it's critical of so it's hypocrisy at it's finest 😂. Hello this is for all you Atheists, unbelievers and skeptics. I'm going to address a few misconceptions and lies about God's Character and His Word. The Bible doesn't support chattel slavery or anything else Immoral. Ok so Atheists and unbelievers say God is either Immoral, incompetent or not responsible so let's see what The Scriptures actually say. God revealed himself and created a nation in a real, historical context. It was a world with a slave-based economy, with city states often at war with each other, with polygamous marriages to ensure the continuation of family lines. The laws of the Old Testament regulate this behaviour. Slaves are to be treated humanely (Exodus 21:11). They are given rights and not seen as mere possessions. Hebrew slaves were able to buy their own freedom. Human trafficking is condemned (Exodus 21:16). In contrast to the law code of Babylon, Old Testament Israel was a light to the nations. The Old Testament law and narratives do not stand alone. Jesus is now the best example of what we read. So the moral teaching of the Bible cannot be summarised by a quote taken out of context from the Old Testament to demonize God and His Word. Slavery was permitted in Old Testament law but it was regulated by God giving the Israelites instructions on how to fairly and humanely treat their slaves (it was like indentured servitude where someone could work for you if they owed debts or needed income not cruel like chattel slavery). God allowed the people of Israel to own slaves since they themselves has already experienced over 400 years of generations of Egyptian slavery and knew how inhumane it was to be beaten, overworked and taxed so God set them apart from other nations and cultures around them by giving them a fair way to treat their slaves since slavery had already existed in the world but it doesn't mean God condoned it just used it for His Will to bring Good And in the light of the whole scriptural teaching, we find the reasons for its ultimate abolition (Ephesians 6:9; Colossians 4:1-3; Philemon 15-16 and Galatians 3:28). The Word of God provided the moral standard against slavery in the Roman Empire and against the slave trade in the New World. But what of genocide or holy war in the book of Joshua? Several things could be pointed out. The use of warfare in the ancient world did not always mean literal total destruction, even when events are described in such terms. Furthermore, the book of Joshua does not describe a genocide. It is not a race who are being wiped out, as in genocide, but a religious practice which was often appalling and degrading. Those who repent (like Rahab from Jericho or Ruth) are not destroyed but become part of Israel. It is not the racial group that is in view but their "detestable practices". However, after all is said, we must still acknowledge that God brought judgment on the nations of Canaan. It is not our place as believers isn't to sugar-coat the Bible. For some skeptics, this is enough to make God a moral monster. But the fact is that Jesus continued to affirm that God is a Judge who will bring a future judgment on all peoples and all nations. God’s judgment will be just. The list of Old Testament stories rejected by critics often leads to a similar dismissal of the New Testament teaching of Jesus on the existence of hell. After all, what was the Flood of Genesis or the conquest of Joshua if not a glimpse of future judgment? Hell does not demonstrate cruelty on God’s part, but it does demonstrate His Holiness and our moral accountability. Perhaps this is the real reason many people rail against the God of the Bible? It is not that they think He is a moral monster, but that they are afraid He is a moral Judge, and that has implications for our behaviour now. God is an Eternal Almighty Spirit Being and we as His creatures have Eternal souls and spirits so the punishment for our sins against Him must therefore also be Eternal but so must the reward for righteousness that's why He sent His Son Jesus to live a perfectly righteous and sinless Life (which none of us could ever possibly expect to do) suffer the humiliating and torturous death of crucifixion to shed His Own Blood willingly so that all who willingly accept His gift of salvation by grace through faith in Him will be saved and given Eternal life because that's what God wants is for us to willingly accept His gift of salvation and choose life. Exodus 21:20-21 literally speaks about capital punishment befalling anyone who mistreats their slaves so yes people are taking Scripture out of context to demonize God who literally promises that slaves who are mistreated under someone else's authority is to be avenged. When we hear the word “slavery” we think of innocent human beings, kept prisoner for life, having no rights under law and so reduced to animals. This is clearly immoral because it is unjust: the slave has done nothing to deserve the treatment. The situation described as “slavery” in the Bible was nothing like this. It is more accurately described as one of indentured servitude. Many “slaves” were indentured servants, working for a term of years Some other “slaves” were prisoners. There were no prisons. Prisoners had to work to live like everyone else. Some had life sentences. Some served a term and were released. People didn't beat their good slaves but treated them well and protected their assets thus. But no matter how rebellious a slave was, you couldn't just beat them to death. And if you knocked out their tooth or damaged their eye then you had to set them free. (Exodus 21:26). God wasn't using what other nations did because He wanted to set His Chosen People of Israel apart from the cruel, inhumane and unjust systems other cultures had so He gave them a fair way to treat their slaves and servants. There is a lot of ignorance on this topic which is understandable given the age we live in but it's not the nefarious set up we think of when we think of modern slavery. The question Atheists must ask themselves is how come the Jews aren't being accused of slavery and human trafficking if they're guilty of it in The Bible and why would white slave owners rip out pages from The Old and New Testament Scriptures to justify their owning blacks as slaves if The Bible already justified slavery? MAKES YA THINK HUH 🤔

@JAAB9296 yeah, and even the whole idea of the rapture itself is just a protestant innovation that's not even held by a majority of Christians (Catholic/Orthodox). When dealing with eschatology it's best to remember that you are a mortal human being trying to understand unfathomable cosmic mysticism and to humble yourself to that mystery. Christ Himself said that it's not for anyone to know the hour except for the Father, and I don't think he just meant the actual temporal location of the event but also the nature of the event itself.

By watching and praying and witnessing you can do both but you really need to focus on your daily walk if you’re new to Christ! You cannot take the book of revelation and make it all metaphor, there’s too many moving parts! Matthew 24:3 they asked Jesus about the end of the world and when he’s coming back and his answer goes along with what revelation says and other eschatological verses!

To quote the late Dr. Michael Heiser; "We often presume that the phrase “the gates of hell shall not prevail against it” describes a Church taking on the onslaught of evil. But the word “against” is not present in the Greek. Translating the phrase without it gives it a completely different connotation: “the gates of hell will not withstand it.” (Search the Logo article; What Did Jesus Mean by “Gates of Hell”? for important context) It is the Church that Jesus sees as the aggressor. He was declaring war on evil and death. Jesus would build His Church atop the gates of hell-He would bury them." So to echo IP, even if the could theory is wrong, what are you waiting for? Let's focus more on the mark of the lamb, not the mark of the beast.

Don’t ignore the prophetic words for the end of the world , God is really into prophecy 27% of the Bible is prophecy, that’s future history written in advance! Matthew 24:3 And as he sat upon the mount of Olives, the disciples came unto him privately, saying, Tell us, when shall these things be? and what shall be the sign of thy coming, and of the end of the world? Two questions dealing with the end and Jesus answers them in the next two chapters! The problem with pre-tribulation and not being ready, is you may think the antichrist is Jesus Christ because you may not know how Jesus returns, acts 1: 11 he comes back in the sky the same way he left! Now just after reading this doesn’t mean it’s solidified in your mind, because the stress bar none other, will happen during the last seven years of the great tribulation period!

The Gospel of Jesus was originally one book, written by Lazarus in consultation with the Apostles [John 21:24] and published soon after Jesus left them on their own. The religion was hijacked by Rome, the Gospel was broken up scrambled adulterated into a bunch of competing narratives. Later four of those adulterated gospels were canonized with falsely ascribed authorship and a Gnosticism cover-story. Magnificent. I confess I was unwittingly in the premillenialist camp - I'd never even heard this interpretation. I thought all I had to look forward to was things getting worse and worse for myself and my children until I died, until some point in the far off future when Christ eventually returned in force. No wonder then that despair was always my besetting sin. I'd never even considered this. This also partly answered my bitter question, "what the heck are we all here for if it's all going to fail in the end anyway until Christ finally comes back?" It never occurred to me to question the premise. I think of all your videos so far sir, this may have affected me most profoundly. Happy Easter.

Anyone who looks around can see the world is getting worse. Entire churches of Christianity are apostatizing right now like the church of England. Its obvious that we are failing the great commission, go look at any article about the demographics of religion currently. The old testament mirrors the new testament. Everything has happened before and it will happen again. Israel couldnt save the world, so they needed Jesus. You really think we can save the world and bring Christs kingdom without Jesus? Ya right. Post millenialism is a fairy tale.

It was the finding of an original Gospel of Jesus scroll in Jerusalem that gained the Knights Templar power over the Church and their eventual undoing when the church finally retaliated against them Friday 13th.

Bible tells the worlds end and goes beyond by telling what’s gonna happen in the millennial reign of Christ! Six times it mentions 2000 years in revelation 20 and that’s supposed to be figurative? Also the term “the day of the Lord“ is in the Bible several times as a Day of gross darkness, on all the Earth! How do you metaphorically interpret 1/3 of the Earth being destroyed by a meteor in Revelation 8! And God taking away death for five months in Revelation 9 etc. etc. ?the Bible has metaphor the Bible is obviously literal as well! Revelation 13:16 says “this calls for wisdom and understanding” so it calls for lots of study! There is a rapture that’s going to occur first Thessalonians four and 1 Corinthians 15 both say so the timing of it is after antichrist is recognized second Thessalonians 2:3 look those up

@@InspiringPhilosophy Christian and Biblical eschatology is very interesting. EXACTLY brother Michael Jones God bless The Inspiring Philosophy Apologetics ministry.

Honestly the thought that Christ is already reigning for the 1000 years stinks because this world is far from perfect and it’s showing no signs of becoming fully Christian, actually it’s the opposite. I really don’t know what he’s talking about because everything in real time is playing out just as it was predicted. The Bible says that Jesus is gonna come like our hero to save us in the time of trouble, and that he will destroy the world and all it’s evil and make everything new. @@termination9353 repent and read below, before you end up in hell for spreading lies: You cannot out psychologize the Bible for God not to throw you into hell for all eternity. If you say you did not want to be born, God is going to say you should’ve been born again, that means become a Christian so that’s not gonna work. And there are no other excuses try to think of one. I think the biggest weakness of the Amillennial and Post-millennial views are passages like 2 Thessalonians 2:3-4, Zechariah 14:2-4, Micah 5:3-6, Revelation 19:19-20 and many more passages like this in both the old and new testaments. Especially 2 Thessalonians 2:3-4 which specifically states that the "Man of Lawlessness" must first be revealed and set himself up as God in the temple before the return of Christ. Personally I can't see anyway to get out of the implications of these passages.

Happy Easter. This is a bit of a long comment, but I want to thank you for this video and your previous ones, they’ve shown me a viewpoint which I feel better encapsulates my faith. I used to worry about the end times. About how we would fail, be outnumbered, forced to the choose worst forms apostasy or death, where only the direct intervention of God could save us. And I used to worry about what would happen to those who didn’t believe on that day. It grieved me especially because I know how the Church has triumphed at every step. The Pharisees tried to destroy the Light of the World, but He rose in Glory. The emperors tried to kill the faith, but only showed the depth of devotion of those blessed martyrs. They put temples on our holy places like the tomb of Christ, which ironically served to remind us of where those places stood. In the Americas, Our Lady appeared in cloth and transformed the hearts of millions. Though we face persecute in places like Africa and the Middle East, that just means that God’s word has touched those places and survives still. Where ever God’s word reaches it survives; His light can never be extinguished, and if God is with us then who can be against us? That’s why the contemporary views of the end times troubled me. I want to thank you again for presenting your viewpoint. I pray for the day that everyone’s hearts are open to our Lord, and I’ll pray for those who have died closed off to Him, so that their spirits may find new life in Him now and forever.

I am a 17 year old Christian from the Southeastern U.S. My location, or even my whole state, is currently being plagued with denominational divisions and hyper-literal interpretations of Biblical passages. I have always been one who must have sufficient evidence for something before I will believe in it, and I think there is more than enough evidence that attests to the truth of the Gospel. Nevertheless, my point is, I am very thankful for your content. I appreciate how you read biblical passages in light of their cultural context, which in turn gives a more accurate and encapsulating understanding of what the ancient writer was trying to convey. I would be as good as an apostate or transgressor if I were to publicize the interpretations that you uphold (which interpretations I mostly agree with) where I live, but I am beyond thankful for your ministry and your videos. And another thing, I am also incredibly interested in the Creation of God (animals, plants, landscapes) to the point where I have grown very fond of it. I greatly enjoy the content you put out concerning Christianity’s influence on modern science and your interpretation of Genesis. I just wanted you to know that people like myself enjoy your content, and I wish all Christians would assume your mindset. The grace of the Lord Jesus be with you always.

I think you bring up a lot of interesting points. I am by no means an expert on eschatology and have a lot to learn but one thing I kept thinking about during this video is it almost seems too optimistic. Man is fallen and sinful. When given free will we have seen from the very beginning that man has a tendency to turn from God. Like I said, I don't know that much about eschatology, but it just seems to me this view tends to lose focus on that dark side of humanity. While God is all powerful and would certainly be able to spread His kingdom throughout the world, I'm not too certain this is the method that would be accomplished. Regardless of whatever the ultimately "correct" view is, this was a great video! Love the work you're doing on this channel!

@@InspiringPhilosophy The context doesn’t render your reading impossible, but IMO the claim that “Paul couldn’t be clearer” doesn’t seem as convincing if you include one preceding verse of context. To my eye, the passage’s chronology is: 1) Christ raised 2) Christ comes again 3) Those who belong to Christ raised 4) The end 5) Christ destroys all rule/authority/power 6) Christ hands the kingdom to the Father Significantly, this is the same chronology presented in Revelation 20. The persecuted believers experience the first resurrection and reign with Christ for 1000 years-then Satan brings all the opposing nations to the holy city, and Christ destroys them. Your chronology seems to insert 5 between 1 and 2. (Side note: How do postmillennialists interpret Rev 20:4-6? If the thousand years are happening now, shouldn’t the resurrection of the righteous have happened already?)

I think that a couple of world wars, and discovery and development of the ability to split atoms and ending the persecuction of Jewish people, repatriation to thier holy land is going to have a dramatic effect on the global understaning regarding "end times"... Its increasingly diffacult to imagine a world on our current trajectory leading to global peice and utopia instead of "WW III", "globalization; New World Order", "mark of the beast", "The anti-Christ", and "dogs and cats living togther mass hysteria!"... That last ones from Ghostbusters, but I hope that means you get my point then.😁 There's histronics to make you afraid to buy something you dont need like another BS series of doomsday books/videos or seminar which is just some random persons fan fiction... But then there is sometimes an ancient babalonian diety on top of a building and a 50 foot marshmallow stomping in churches in manhattan unleashed by some know nothing jerk unaware of the spritual warfare manafesring all over the city...Then who you gonna call? Well, in the REAL WORLD it's gonna have to be Jesus because the Ghostbusters are fictional characters. Ok, jokes aside. The whole point of Revelation seams to me that its just saying, "ok there is bad times, worse times, and THE WORST OF TIMES. But, its all going to be ok, because, "the end" was written before "in the begining" even began..." Only The Father knows the day and hour of the return of The Son. We can have our opinions, and conversations, but we should never let that divide us, it should bring us togther really if we are truly trusting of God, because only he knows then that time will come. Just think how stressfull "tax season" is; and thats just rendering unto Caesar whats his... Yikes. - The Gospel of Jesus was originally one book, written by Lazarus in consultation with the Apostles [John 21:24] and published soon after Jesus left them on their own. The religion was hijacked by Rome, the Gospel was broken up scrambled adulterated into a bunch of competing narratives. Later four of those adulterated gospels were canonized with falsely ascribed authorship and a Gnosticism cover-story. It was the finding of an original Gospel of Jesus scroll in Jerusalem that gained the Knights Templar power over the Church and their eventual undoing when the church finally retaliated against them Friday 13th.

But what my observation has been is that for so many people the view of premillenialism is convincing since it offers a quite coherent explaination of passages like "In the end times people will be..." (2. Tim 3) or Jesus words at the end of Matt and many others, my favourite example being the Mark of the beast and it's connection to trade, and so on. However, in more recent times the cacophony of modern media has often brought Emerson to my mind: “…where in Christendom is the Christian…” I look a various denominations and houses of worship with a fretting trepidation. I’ve never had a crisis of faith, but I’ve been so often plagued by a crisis of courage in that faith. To speak ill of any other human being, while holding to the Bible and Christianity in my mind, it makes me sick in heart and stomach. All my life I’ve heard people claiming Christian identity saying these people or those people are damned, cursed, or our enemies. Every one of those words feels like nails piercing my ears, and I need to go looking somewhere else. But, at the same time, argument of any kind makes me so anxious. In the context of any communion of Christians, that also makes me sick at heart. I believe there are so many people like me these days. All of us silent. All of us constantly struggling to untangle what it means to be meek and courageous. All of us crushed by the recognition that it is easiest to speak with absolute certainty when you understand little and empathize with few. “It’s a slow and gradual process, and it will be successful.” That is exactly what I needed to hear. I know that. I believe that the end is certain. God is outside time. For that which is undefined, cause and effect are meaningless. Incarnate in creation, time passes slowly. To the Creator, the Kingdom at the End of Time and the first will of Creation are a seamless unity. What is willed is done. I just hear that so seldom these days, and not with such conviction. Everything is desperate, so much crisis, all my life I’ve been told there is an imminent apocalypse. Yes, I’ve always told people, we are on the brink of apocalypse…and apocalypse of productivity and progress. Yes, I’ve always told people, all our institutions are in an unimaginable crisis…a crisis of wealth and prosperity. Never before has civilization so profoundly triumphed over material needs. There is more than enough to feed everyone in every way. Our ideologies of pragmatic necessity are profoundly inadequate to this incomprehensible triumph. I’m 50 years old now, and all of my life I’ve watched us drift aimlessly distracted by idle wants and snatching whatever our neighbor takes in hand…like toddlers that recognize an object exists and might be interesting only because another toddler picks that thing up. How much longer can people maintain this illusion to provide a target for acquisitive ambitions? “It’s a slow and gradual process, and it will be successful.” Thanks.
