@tongpoo8985
@tongpoo8985 2 жыл бұрын
@@imCurveee the speed chess videos are less exciting because they are incoherent. NL is not a master level player, when hes under the mental load of low time controls, the commentary and the quality of play suffers, just making simple blunders and no time to really explore any cool lines. The 10 minute chess episodes are way higher quality
@imCurveee
@imCurveee 2 жыл бұрын
@@tongpoo8985 The chess may be higher quality, but that isn't what I said. For the non-serious chess crowd its more exciting to watch him frantically pull off ridiculous moves that wouldn't happen in a 15-min game. If you want serious high quality chess, I'm sure there's better channels to watch.
@tongpoo8985
@tongpoo8985 2 жыл бұрын
@@imCurveee you think so? Seems like most people agree with me. What do you think im expecting from a 1500 player? I just want good commentary and not throwing away games on one move blunders constantly, just like a lot of others apparently do too.

Hey NL, never commented before but love you content. Just wanted to say that I’m a big fan of the chess content and I personally find the longer games more interesting and enjoyable to watch. 10 minutes or even 15|10 games gives you room to think and play your best which i think is fun to watch. Not that I dislike bullet, but since it seems like you feel pressured by the audience to keep it spicy, just figured I’d share my take. (Honestly I think 30 min is my favorite time constraint but I seem to be in the minority there lol)

If you're cutting the caro and playing e5 then get in the mood of playing h6 and getting your knight off f6 to push f pawn to bring queen through e8 to the kingside. It's a lot easier than caro ideas like h6 and g4 (weak h pawn) although it's good for black.
