Tbh when i heard about all Lils coming out i didnt care too much to ever listen to peeps music until one day after a decade of being clean i had just picked up blues for the first time my sister came with me to make sure i didnt O.D while driving home i let my sister control the radio i heavily influenced her like in music giving that she is emo and a song came Isnt Life beautiful as soon as i heard his voice the car got quiet i was in a very very dark place losing control of my life and not being on drugs we turned it up and played it a couple of times and i remember asking her who is and she told me Lil Peep and i was like wtf seriously she said yeah i had never in my entire life while heavy in addiction had heard an artist that hit me so hard with the song Isnt Life beautiful i was always into emo music so i never truly ventured into rap which i thought was what Gus was doing and i was all wrong complelty and uttely memorized by his sounds lyrics voice they hit in a way i could never ever begin to relay into words slowly i became enthralled into Peeds music i can and will say this i have never in my entire life cared about anyone remotely famous i would like a song here there of artists but heck didnt even know their real names outside of a stage name still dont know anyone's real name tbh no movie actor nothing heck i have never crushed on anyone famous either people will say an artists name or actor and i will be like never heard of them and they will play a song and be ohh okay i guess i know a song and then immediately forget the arists/actors name.i went down the rabbit hole watching any and all videos by Gus or about Gus. I sincely regret not listening to him while he was here with us all. Im currenlty wearing my firsr ever merch item (by anyone other than anime) of Lil Peep which his shirt was a gift from a BHT who use to come in and do groups and my rehab and every time he came in i was playing something by Peep knowing all lyrics shoot everyone would be like dont let Tabatha pick a song all she plays is Peep. This young man touched my sould and turned my tragic life into soul vibing touching music and melodies. Being an addict and seeing famous ppl who come from good homes and backgrounds try to be like we know what its like to be in the dirt dope sick cool but do u understand the pain of what addicts are trying to run from and found the escape in drugs???? Thus now causing new and more trauma because of our addiction because even as children we never fit in never had friends we hated the very idea of waking up and as a child we were not aware of our own trauma happening at home but we still could feel the pain and saw how horrible the world was we saw and knew the world was evil b4 even being truly exposed to the world. I swear to this day as someone who has been in over 20 locked down units 5 point restraints montly as an adult just wanting it to be all over cause the one thing that keeps is going our only way to cope is not allowed i swear there are only three reasons i have been clean and sober for the past 7 months both my baby boys amd the fear of never ever being able to hear Peeps music. Im now in stage three liver failure due to an ex husband who didnt tell me he had hepatitis C and when i got it u couldnt get a cure unless u were cirrhosis which i wasnt at the time but after the cure became readily avaiable i didnt buy it at first and i didnt know how bad my liver had become due to mental physcial abuse and then relapsing until i met a doctor who looked at me and said i need to start making plans if i want to be a DNR patient i rememeber one doctor had drawn my blood at 6 a.m and i was in his office by 8 a.m he said if hadnt showen up for and emergency appoitment when his staff called me he was going to send paramedic to my home who could force entry when i finally decided to really give this a try it was 7 months ago in detox and the detox was like ur liability we have never heard of levels as high as urs i was rushed in for the cure i was so bad which i ddint understand i knew i didnt feel good alot and couldnt even work more than a couple of hours the specialist told me addicts have to prove for at lesst 6 months of sobriety to get the cure and my specialist said Idc im giving it to you or will die alot quicker ur already in stage 3 i cant change or fix that cant reverse it but getting the cure will pro long the inevitable and thats going into stage 4. If i dont give u the cure now u could be in stage 4 any day hopefully this will by u some time to get on a transplant list. Im making it because of my boys and because of a young man i have never ever met Gus Elijah Ahr. Ur music far surpassed ur age. U knew pain on a level that i thought no one truly understood other my boys watching a seemily healthy beautiful college educated mother destroy herself in front of them all over trauma that i have now indirectly passed down to my two inncoent boys one whom became a double amputee at 15 months old. Not due to my addiction never touched anything pregnant and my relaspe happened after my babies amputation it was all thanks to pharmaceutical medication deemed safe during pregnancy which i stopped all of the day i found out i was pregnant at 4 weeks 5 days yet it was already too late for my son. Peeps music took my pain away in a way i will never ever be able to put words too. Thank you for letting me rant about my pain the pain i caused others and how no artist has ever gotten my soul like lil Peep has and no one ever will in the future. There is more too being emo/goth/scene than just a style or saying ur sad and depressed its actually going through shit over and over again and being able to understand ur part and others. Too this day i have never ever dressed goth scene or emo. No one knows i am i dont wear my pain for the world to see i hide it i keep it locked away no one knows the real me inside or my story except for my children. I dont let my outter appearance show who i am inside so i have never ever truly been accepted into any group or clique. But somehow as my days are near Gus made it a little bit easier to keep holding on. Now a bunch of strangers know this. Love u my baby boys and ever truly sorry to Liza my worst fear is ur reality.
