Naf Adha You're acting like its a picture of a naked person. She's wearing a v-neck dress and only showing her arms. She's not even a Muslim...Unfortunately there are actual Muslims who dress a lot worse. Although these things are frowned upon, so is judging other people. I understand you're only looking out for others but there's also a hadith that always stays with me "Don't ever judge people who aren't as Islamic as you are. Maybe Allah has a special plan for them and eventually makes them 10 times better than you. Let Allah judge Alone." Thank you for your concern but I'm putting my faith in Allah SWT alone.

Nafs to eat, nafs to drink, nafs to worry, nafs to fight. Nafs is worst enemy. I suggest myself and everyone that let's use our notes app in phone to identify each day where we were not able to fight nafs and try not to repeat it. 😶 May Allah help us with our efforts. Ameen
@mlaher2k139 жыл бұрын
To those of you that are unsure of what he means by "Nafs". It is a way of describing your desires. Our desires is what really gets the best of us and therefore we cannot blame Shaitan for every single sins we commit because Shaitan only gets you through your desires. A random example would be like i.e. Imagine you can overcome your desires, if you really do overcome your desires, then it is like you put up a firewall which blocks Shaitan from breaching into your system (your mind).

Another one is very conscious of my actions that only wants good and reminds me that whatever I'm dealing thru is nothing if I just remember Allah (swt). And the last one is the kid that hates those two arguing so much and more inclined to good and mature enough despite trying to act cute from both sides. Can't explain it well but I always thought how Shaitan even manage to be in my head when the only thing it can do is whisper evil in my heart. Alhamdulillah I watched this video.

What is nafs? "The word Nafs in the Qur’an, when referring to the human being, has been used in basically two different but closely related meanings. One simply means ‘a person’ and with a stretch of definition in the same category of meaning has also been used for associated meanings like “life of a person”. For instance in the following verse: وَ لا تَقْتُلُوا النَّفْسَ الَّتي حَرَّمَ االله … “And do not kill a person who God (has made taking his life) forbidden …” (17:33) The second meaning can be translated as the inner self (often also translated as soul). It is best to review some of the verses in this meaning to fully appreciate what it is: وَ نَفْسٍ وَ مَا سَوَّئهَا فَأَلهْمَهَا فجُورَهَا وَ تَقْوَئهَا قَدْ أَفْلَحَ مَن زَكَّئهَا وَ قَدْ خَابَ مَن دَسَّئهَا “And the soul and the perfection given to it. Thus was given awareness of its evil and its good. He succeeded who purified it and he failed who corrupted it” (91:7-10) وَ أَمَّا مَنْ خَافَ مَقَامَ رَبِّهِ وَ نَهَى النَّفْسَ عَنِ الهْوَى فَإِنَّ الجْنَّةَ هِىَ الْمَأْوَى “And as for him who fears the status of his Lord and forbids the soul from low desires Then surely the heaven is the abode.” (79:40, 41) يَأَيَّتهُا النَّفْسُ الْمُطْمَئنَّةُ ارْجِعِى إِلىَ رَبِّكِ رَاضِيَةً مَّرْضِيَّة فَادْخُلىِ فىِ عِبَادِى وَ ادْخُلىِ جَنَّتى “O confident soul! Return to your Lord pleased (with Him), pleasing (Him). So enter among my servants And enter to my heaven.” (89:27, 28) وَ لا أُقْسِمُ بِالنَّفْسِ اللَّوَّامَة “And (by) no (means!) I swear by the reproaching soul “ (75:2) وَ ما أُبَرِّئُ نَفْسي إِنَّ النَّفْسَ لَأَمَّارَةٌ بِالسُّوءِ إِلاَّ ما رَحِمَ رَبِّي إِنَّ رَبِّي غَفُورٌ رَحيم “And I do not claim to be innocent myself, one's soul commands (him) to commit evil, except for anyone my Lord has mercy on him. My Lord is Forgiving, Merciful.” (12:53) As it is clear from the above verses, Nafs in the meaning of Soul or Inner Self in the Qur’an refers to that entity inside us that is continuously interacting with our mind and can easily affect us (as a person) in a positive or negative way. There is no benefit in thinking about concepts like this theoretically. We need to see how this can benefit us. Putting the above verses together, we can reach a rather clear picture of what Nafs in the meaning of soul is and that how it affects us: We learn from the Qur’an that God has inspired our Soul with the ability to distinguish between good and bad (91:7,8). We also understand that our soul can work to our loss (by instructing us to do bad, 12:53) and can also work to our benefit (by reproaching us for bad things we may do, 75:2). We have the power to stop our soul from doing evil (79:40). We understand that if we purify our soul then we will be successful in the hereafter (91:9, 10). Our soul can be a voice of evil (12:53), but it can also become a source of good (75:2) and it can become so good and so strong that becomes confident about the truth, becomes fully pleased with the Lord and pleases the Lord as well (89:27-30). This means we are in a continuous struggle with our Soul (Nafs). It is like dealing with a naughty boy who has a great potential for great things but is not appreciating it and needs lots of attention and remiding. If we fail in this struggle we will have a very messy and pointless life and in the hereafter we may not be good enough to enter the heaven. If we manage to control and improve our soul (purification) then with His blessing we will be able to have a happy and peaceful life and in the hereafter we will be able to get close to Him and reside in the heaven." source: www.exploring-islam.com/what-is-nafs.html

" و مآ أبرئ نفسى إن النفس لأمارة بالسؤ إلا ما رحم ربي إن ربي غفور رحيم " سورة يوسف ١٢:٥٣ And I free not myself from blame. Verily, the human self is inclined to evil EXCEPT the one who Allah ( Glorified and Exalted) bestows his mercy upon him. Verily my God is all Forgiving and most Merciful. Many times people blame Shaytan for their sins and their inability to give up what is haraam or perform acts of worship as they were mandated by Allah the Glorified and Exalted; but the real problem is that they have a weak nafs and ask Ibn Al Qayyim (may Allah have mercy on his soul); "The nafs is like a mountain in your way to Allah..." As millions of Muslims question the concept of jihad during an era of Islamophobia, ask yourself have you been fighting the greatest jihad of all in the path to Allah? Al jihad al nafs? (The jihad of fighting against your own self and desires?)

Peace be upon all of you my brothers & sisters... My brother the narrator, I wonna thank you for your noble intention of reminding the muslims of what makes them sin, however, there's one question that I'd like to ask you: "What about "النفس المطمئنة" -the reassured self-...and "النفس اللوامة" -the blaming self- ?" form what I know, there are these three types of "nafs", in which ourselves belong to one of those three, while we ought to seek always to either reach the best one (reassured nafs) or keep in it if it's already that....and Allah SWT know best ^_^

We all do mistakes in life, absolutely, and neither we cannot change the past. Let it not affect the current way of life. The only thing we can do is to repent to Allah and ask for forgiveness to whoever we have wronged, if they can't really understand us, then at least we did our part, the rest leave it to Allah.

Assalam 3alaykum, I understand your situation very well. There was a point in my life, where I used to do all what Allah has commanded us to do as just an obligation with no purpose. But it came a time where I started to kind of question everything around me. With the help of my uncle, I came to a conclude that life is a project, its just temporary, we are not ment to be in this world forever. That's means that we have a PURPOSE and OBJECTIVES that we need to accomplish before we sign out. Moreover shaytan would do all what it takes just to deceive us, and actually bring all facts appear as real, just as the way adam and hawa were deceived . Shaytan just want to bring us at a point of regret leading to depression, feeling as lost, just to make our life miserable. Thats his purpose. May allah guide us all to the light.
