You could feel the rage towards Sona that was gnawing at Irelia "something-kinda-similar-to-a" soul during the video, multiple times. When they did Baron, Irelia went straight up for the full HP Sona and completely ignored two champions with 20% HP and 50% HP. When a fight started in mid and Sona butted in to help a teammate, Irelia bee-lined Sona and completely ignored the much threatening Diana slashing her ankles. That Irelia will need therapy after this.

Sona's base move speed is 325 where as Jarvan's is 340 and his W active does (max rank) 35% slow to all nearby enemies for 2 seconds, so yes he could, in theory, be faster than her with minimal move speed.

Back during the early seasons, I used to play a lot of Sona, mostly AP (and got a few pentakills that way), but I also played AD. Back then, you could do a good AD variant of the shotgun build as well, if you started Trinity Force. Sona's passive auras, and abilities used to work differently too, giving you flat stat increases, in adddition to the other effects. (Pre-3.08) Auras (innate): Stays active for 4 seconds after switching to a different aura. Actives (innate): Bonuses takes the aura effects into account. Passive: Every third ability cast, Sona's basic attack is empowered, dealing 8 + (10 x level) bonus magic damage. Q (aura): Gain +4/8/12/16/20 extra AD and AP Q (Active): Sends out two bolts of magic, dealing 50/100/150/200/250 (+70% AP) magic damage to affected targets (prioritizes champions). Q (Power Chord): Deal double passive damage (up to 384 bonus magic damage based on level). W (aura): Gain +3/6/9/12/15 bonus Resistances (Armor + Magic Resistance). W (Active): Heals Sona and the closest allied champion for 40/60/80/100/120 (+25% AP), and gives a flat 8/11/14/17/20 Resistance buff for 4 seconds. W (Power Chord): Reduces enemy damage by 20% for 4 seconds. E (aura): Gain +4/8/12/16/20 flat movement speed E (Active): Gives a +4/8/12/16/20% bonus movement speed buff for 1.5 seconds. E (Power Chord): Slows an enemy by 40% for 2 seconds. i got my first pentakill with AD sona back in 2011. back then the itemization path was even more ridiculous, and the Q+passive nuke combo could chunk a carry hard. i usually went mid with it at the time, but i like this toplane version. reminds me of top soraka but with more roaming potential, and you can snowball the lane pretty effectively by the look of it the real secret is that every sona player has a rune page like this in their back pocket somewhere just in case they get to do something like this ;)

My second ever Penta was on top lane AP Sona I went 15/1/17 that game. Had a 13 Kill Streak. That after her first remake when her Auras stuck around until you activated another one.
