Interesting talk and perspectives. The return on energy concept is a useful one and I enjoyed thinking about it that way. I did however not enjoy the weak language, unchallenged, about the climate change “debate”. The scientific community and the evidence for human induced climate change, solar cycles or no, is much to strong to allow this kind of soft language in an energy discussion. Fossil fuels as certainly part of the story in to our future, and we also need clear heads about what mix of energy sources and storage we select, but please don’t let your guests try to obfuscate the obvious. Interesting episode nonetheless. Am still amazed how few listens these get given the high quality of the guests, discussion and information, especially for lay investors.

Not enough fuel for replacement, electricity is useless for transportation and steel/concrete/roadway/power line manufacture. You obviously don't build anything at all and have never cracked a materials science book.

We're saved! Energy wisdom is breaking through! Now we must break through the climate hysteria, which is another colossal idiocy.
