@AzureTheAvian2 жыл бұрын
I just want to say that a lot of these stories that you narrate genuinely help me with my own depression. This story feels exactly like how my condition behaves. It makes me hear things that weren’t actually said, see things in a way that presents as the worst possible version of themselves. Seeing the condition as a suicide engineer helps me, as it does help the protagonist. It doesn’t make it go away, but it helps. And that’s all I need to get through when the monster attacks again.
@MisterGangly2 жыл бұрын
Hello! I'm the writer of the original story, and after reading your post I found myself needing to reply to it. This story, and the way that it was written, didn't happen by accident. It was very much influenced by a time when depression was a big part of my life, or maybe more accurately WAS my life. It was just like you described. The entire world seemed like it was against me even when it wasn't. My interpretation of conversations and events made it seem like even the people that I cared the most about were rejecting me. It isolated me while it grinded away at me. While the story is fictional, every event that happens in it was loosely based on things that happened and feelings that I felt during that time. It wasn't until I put a face on what I was going through, seeing it as my own personal Suicide Engineer, that I was able to work through it. I don't think many people will understand that, and really I hope that they won't have need to, but from what you're saying it sounds like you do. This story was going to originally have a happier, more upbeat ending. I scrapped that because that isn't how depression works. Even though I managed to come out of it and have built a life for myself that I truly love, it's always creeping in the background somewhere. It's forever ongoing, and if I don't face it every so often there's a risk that it comes back. I genuinely wish you the best navigating through your depression. It's tricky, but it sounds like you've found the good path to be on and know how to stay on it. I'm hardly what can be classified as a strong person, and if I'm able to do it, I have no doubt that you will as well.
@AzureTheAvian2 жыл бұрын
@@MisterGangly Thank you so much for writing this story, it really does mean a lot to me. Lately things have been getting incredibly difficult, and hearing this interpretation makes it that much easier to deal with. I’m sorry you had to go through what you did, and I’m just happy that you managed to pull through and make the most of things. You’re right about the ending. It doesn’t just go away, it never will. But it can be managed. What helps me a lot is hearing about how I’m not alone in facing this, that there are so many others out there going through the same thing. Knowing that many beat it, survived it, means a world of difference. Again, thank you so much for writing this story. You’ve genuinely helped me, and I’m sure many others as well.

You have to pay the authors? I thought they were just harvested from reddit and narrated?
@AnimasNarrations2 жыл бұрын
@@charlieosko4151 back in the old n’ days, that was the case. Nosleep actually went on strike for one week a couple years ago (they took the sub down) because of how many narrators would steal these stories. Now, author permission and credit is an absolute must. The works belong to the authors and they have every right to strike you or take your narration down A lot of authors are incredibly kind and if I ask nicely they let me narrate since I’m not making money to pay them (I’m also a student, so I can’t pay outta pocket either, lol). But many authors that you have heard and love stories from: Tim Spraug (who did this one), RichardSaxon (I Woke Up During Surgery, and many more), Bearidify who you see a lot from MrCreepyPasta, do have payment guidelines for stories (some are paid more by narrators for exclusive stories). And that’s completely fair (you have every right to get paid for your work :D) TL;DR you need author permission to narrate stories, some of those authors want payment, and that’s fair

This story, in so many aspects, reminds me of my experiences with paranoid schizophrenia. I've always taken what people say with a grain of salt, never could be bullied just because I didn't care what people think, I was so happy being myself. Schizophrenia ruined my life. My personality has been stripped to the core. This story sounds exactly like the auditory aspect: never-ending, 24/7 harassment in the most cruel, evil ways a human could talk to another. But you talk to those people that you suspect the voices coming from, and they're so loving and so sweet to you. You're an adored human being, yet somehow this disease flips it on you entirely. You think they're messing with you. You think they're all in on your downfall. It is so irrational and if you aren't too far gone: you know it's not possible, but it's so real in the moment that there are times you give in and surrender to the bullying. Your paranoia turns your confidence to shreds, respect for yourself to dust, and eventually the harassment makes you believe it's real. And you know the voices want you to die from it. They don't prompt you to, but they're waiting for you to. I wouldn't wish this on anyone. Thank you for the amazing content and amazing stories. Can't wait for more❤

For example I know u do all the things required to make a channel like yours successful on your own or atleast you always have as far as I know. U are honestly skilled beyond many of the channels that have alot of people doing many if not all the tasks required to make a channel at this level successfull. I can't wait to see where you go in another year or 2,5 10 and so on. Always a pleasure to listen to you old friend. TAKE care and u will always hVe my support!

I just cannot prevent myself from asking, but do you plan on doing a story similar to 'The sounding of the fifth trumpet." or 'life in the machine' or 'we put a soul in a computer' or 'it's been 50 years since we went to the moon'. The type of horror that sticks with you, that resonates with you and gives u bread for a while, stuff to ponder. Life in the machine, just like the fifth trumpet I have listened to over 15 times each. There is just something in those stories, as if you've put more in them than in others. I cannot really convey it in words, but yeah. I really hope you narrate a story like those sometime soon.

This one was absolutely chilling. Especially in the audio distortions that censored out some of the monologue. Anazing as always.

Wow! Amazing story and narration as usual. Very original story plot. Also I love the outro song so much, and the transition to it. When the story ends and the outro music fades in and eventually crescendos, it leaves me with a feeling of poignancy. Love your work!

This story alludes to the fact that when people are depressed and fall into despair it doesn't matter what kind of praise or happiness you try to give them, their mind contorts the comments as being evil and heinous. People where giving her love and support but the darkness In her mind manipulated her into thinking it was a lie...that they hated her, ultimately leading to a hysterical delusion that everyone hated her and that she should just dissappear...this truly personifies an intangible evil that plagues the young generation...well done Senpai Somnium❤

This story was quite intriguing, well thought out. Nice narration, love tje sound effects! And the volume is a good balance, which is my main problem with narrators, and their volume, either too low or high. Good job!

Oh my god, finally! I'm not sure why, but most of the endings of your story's have been falling off in terms of- well, what ASMR does, they make you get these feelings or chills down your spine, your past stories have been giving that feeling everytime, but these past other stories haven't been doing the ending justice. The stories in general have been all amazing and truly amazing works, the endings have been the ultimate fall off sadly, but this story finally got such an amazing ending to give me those chills. Absolutely amazing work! Never change! You make such amazing stories, keep up all the amazing work!

You really are talented at narrating and doing all the other work to create a deep atmosphere to these stories. I'm so glad I came across this channel a while ago, but at the same time it makes me kinda sad that many others don't do the trick the same way as they used to. The sound effects, reading, music, etc., it's just top notch, huge thanks!
