The ENGLISH Beginner's Guide to WAKFU MMORPG 2023 & 2024

This is THE most looked-over MMORPG that everybody needs to play. WAKFU is affordable, free-to-play, and very fun and unique.
I'm Pop's Voice and I'll be giving you the best ENGLISH guide to WAKFU.
Wakfu is a tactical turn-based player economy driven massively multiplayer online role playing game.
If that sounds like it could be complicated, that’s because it is. I’m here to alleviate that.
I’m fairly new to the game, and if you’re like me and only speak English because the American education system neglected to teach you any other language other than 2 optional years in highschool, you’ll notice this game is SORELY LACKING in guides and resources in English.
My aim is to be that resource, and where else to start than the reason you clicked this video.
Wakfu Beginner’s Guide
Once you create an account or log in through steam, you’ll be asked to choose a server. Trust me on this one, choose Ogrest Int. The Ogrest server is a single account server, the most social, and the International variant is the only one where people regularly speak english, so unless you prefer your bread pronounced in your throat, this is your best option. You’ll then be asked to choose a class. Wakfu has a large variety, each one feeling wildly different than the last, with varying levels of complexity. Just choose whatever class you think looks cool, and who’s description and roles best fit what you’re looking for.

I am glad to see someone else willing to do more wakfu guides. Just to mention a point, chosing rubilax server is nice too if you looking for playing a 3 man team of even 6 man team. If there is anything I can help you with in the game (mainly in rubilax), lemme know. I am not the best in the game but I know enough and i would be happy share any knowledge I have. Edit: technically you can advance through the game with minimum interaction with the economy if you put the time into farming things yourself, i personally thinking solely reliying on the economy to get the gear you want is a fast way to burn out. happened to me and many friends of mine.

I’m a big fan of mono, I’ve dealt with multi account servers all through Dofus and honestly, unless you’re already a fan of the games, they aren’t great for new players (who the guide is aimed at). I played Wakfu when was at the beggining and was fairy told it gonna by pay to play so i just wanted toi try before this happend, now i wanted to get nostalgia hit but everything is diffrent. Your gide is really helpfull!And with player economy, there was always alot of the bags on ground that worked as player home to and you culud buy stuff from them that way. You needed to remember where you put bag on the map...

I started playing Wakfu in 2020, when the tutorial was different. I'm now told that the new tutorial gives you a bag with 20 inventory spaces if you complete it, a very sweet deal. I already have my 5 character slots full with characters I've done or skipped the 2020 tutorial with, so I'm not gonna make a new character just for the bag... Tried to do the tutorial quests with one of my lower level characters, and they seem to be bugged for me :'D No NCP will aknowledge the ecosystem quests nor explain them to me ;_;

Oh that’s rough… I haven’t ran into that or heard about that. Make sure when you create a new character you are saying yes to playing the tutorial.

go to Amakna's website, log in and link your phone number, it's how they verify to keep bots down.

You have to go to the Ankama website to register a phone number, then confirm it through a text code I believe.

Why go ogrest is that not a single char server? The wortst part of wakfu (and hey i loved this game) you cant find groups, and the hero system does not allow a full group, you need buy a secound account with hero system atleast to be able to do dungeons.

With Ogrest being fairly new, it is well populated. I never ran into any issues finding groups for content. This guide is meant for players that know very little about the game. Asking a new player to learn 3 classes and solo an mmo is not conducive to having a good time.

Hi, I want to try again after a long time. I downloaded the game from steam, there was 3 server choices. Pandora, Rubilax, and Ogrest. I tried to enter Ogrest as you've suggested, but it said that i need to verify a phone number to enter without telling me how do i do that. Is this a new policy?

This is Ogrest specific to try to prevent botting. You have to go to the Ankama website, and add a phone number to your profile. After that is complete you should be free to go.

@@Popsvoice it was just abt a glitch in the game with the saving astrub knight quest taht I though I was doing something wrong but I went to Ankama support and made a reported it so hopefully it will get fixed soon

@@tamarrea8885 so, I’m not completely sure what quest, but I’m guessing it has to do with the sidekick you obtained. On the mono server, sidekicks are disabled so I believe that may be incompleteable. It’s not a bug, so much as an oversight.
