The English Lake District in 4k by Eurofox

A brief ridge of autumnal high pressure gave me all the excuse I needed for a beautiful flight over the Cumbrian Fells to one of my favourite airfields, Kirkbride.
The flight also gave me the chance to test out the Lightspeed Delta Zulu headset. This was not entirely successful, and they are going back to be replaced by a set of Bose A30s to match my existing A20s. The audio recording ceasing before the end of the flight was just one of the issues.

Another wierd question, how did you get tht wing tip shot. I recently ran a post on Linkedin where I had three components connected via flexible tubing and cables all suspended in air as if by magic. Not one comment on how I did this so a little disspaointed on that one. Great part of the world to be based and although the Gyro is my favorite you get greater range with the Fox. This is a similar difference between, as a child walking from home and cycling. 2 miles range becomes 20 miles range. Thnks for posting and appreciate the time and effort that goes into this. Having made a few videos myself on this platform the actual filming is the easy part its the editing that takes an age. best regards Chris from an overcast Cambridgeshire.

The exterior shots are filmed on an Insta 360 X3 on a special aviation strut-mounted set-up, imported from the US. You can see the components on the right wing strut on some of the interior views. Thanks for your comments; as you say, the filming and the flying are the easy bits! And the gyro is my favourite too, but I can’t get the exterior camera mounted in the same way, which is what I really wanted for this flight as the weather over Cumbria was perfect.

Thanks for the reply and the extra detail@@StuWithAView. I have found that surprisingly the US is much more relaxed with flying and the larger ecomomy means that companies can not only survive but flourish making this type of kit. The autogyro laws are much softer but the risks are much higher so lessons would be strongly advised and even more so transistioning from fixed wing to rotary wing as many aspects of the gyro are counterintuitive. Looking forward to some more winter flight videos over snow capped peaks.

Wierd question. Whats the law concerning using mobile phones while flying? Great video. So jealous.

To the best of my knowledge, there is no law concerning the use of mobile phones in general aviation aircraft in the UK. My iPad is receiving live weather via its 4G connection. I was using my phone in this video primarily as a camera.

@@StuWithAView it's no criticism at all. Just wondering what if any impact it would have.

Older phones could cause interference on the intercom and radio if not in flight-safe mode; that very rarely happens with modern phones. The biggest risk would be distraction - not a great idea to check emails in the circuit!
