Yep. I'm getting one. Thanks for the demo. Especially the bass demo. It's nice seeing how gear can cross between both instruments.

Wow!!! After hearing this, I'm def. gonna get this. It sounds like it tracks flawlessly, has multiple octaves that can be dialed in at once, and a $30 price tag that's too good to be true, def. gonna get this off of Amazon ASAP!! I really cant wait!!!

Yup yup just as soon as I order it, should be in the next day or two. Just wondering, where did you order yours and how long about did it take for you to receive it? Jw cuz I'm gonna get it on Amazon, their shipping's usually pretty reliable.

Finally got it!! Actually just as good sounding in person as on video. It seems to work better trackingwise on single note riffs than actual chords but honestly I've yet to find an octaver pedal that tracks chords that great anyways, even the boss oc-2, which this easily compares to, doesn't track chords that great

I got this pedal yesterday and initially I was not impressed. It had a hard time tracking, mainly on the lower notes. After some fiddling I discovered this: It definitely works best with the neck pickup. It also picks up the lower notes better if I turn down the tone control some on my guitar. Lowering volume also helps a little. And overdrive/distortion is a must. A compressor before the octaver would probably help, as it seems to be a litte sensitive with regards to input signal. I have managed to get some really cool sounds from this and I think it's worth every penny. And if you like noise and glitchyness, crank it up and you won't be dissapointed. If you got big fingers, however, this is not for you. This is built for (and by) girls and/or men with freakishly skinny fingers, like myself.

Does it djent ? My main question I use drop A tuning and I wanna go to drop G can I use this with extremely high distortion
@JustinBlair2 жыл бұрын
Great question - to be honest, I think at that low range, this might end up having a bit of difficulty creating the octaves correctly - I could be wrong, but it seemed like even in E standard, once in a while this seems to warble a bit at the low frequencies. Hope that's helpful!

hey man at 5:04 you mentioned that in the low registers, it has some warble. I ordered the pedal and I'm experiencing some of that low octave warble. Is this happening with your pedal too? I'm just wondering if there's something wrong with my pedal or if it's due to a power supply issue.
@JustinBlair6 жыл бұрын
Hey Yuri - Thanks for checking out the video- sometimes you can get more of a warble on octave pedals if you have a distortion pedal in front of it. Do you by chance have any pedals active in your chain before the Octaver? It's definitely possible that it could be a defective pedal too, depending on how bad the warble is....
@durbansurfmadness6 жыл бұрын
I tested it independently and i tested it in a chain and it warbles the same amount in both cases. It will hold the low bass note in a low octave for a while (maybe 3-4 seconds) and then the low octave will drop and it will 'jump' to one octave higher and warble like this. It's a good pedal besides this occurrence. I swapped out the power supply because I know they can often have an impact on the pedals and I had the same result. I'll send the pedal back and test a new one.
@JustinBlair6 жыл бұрын
Oh I gotcha! I get a little bit of that when I hold the lowest notes for a while, but I play almost exclusively in the upper registers with this, so I don't encounter this issue much. Hope the new one works better for you!
@durbansurfmadness6 жыл бұрын
so the new pedal came in today. and It's somewhat defective lol. The led light doesnt come on but the pedal functions like normal. It still does that warble on the low notes :( So i realised that if you play any notes lower than the g note on the low e-string, you will get the warbles coming through

Playing through a Blackstar Artist 15 (Tube) with a 4x12 ext. cab. Guitars are Strats and Les Pauls. I consider myself a pedal guy and like to try different ones from time to time. Glad I only paid 35.00 bucks on Amazon ! Not really an octave guy, thought I would give this a go. Worst octave pedal I've used. The low register warble is terrible, signal seems to fluctuate as you play. The second you hit the pedal your tone goes to S***T. If your looking for descent octave pedal, recommend other manufacturers.
@ryanguit4 жыл бұрын
You need to use it as an "octave stage" in a rig. Like octave switch on an octave fuzz. This tracks further away from 12th fret so it tracks better than what Jimi used. Latency is low similar to OC2 or octave fuzz. The negative side: no polyphonic digital perfection. But surely everyone knows this is a fuzzy tone altering octave stage by design. Chuck a compressor or gain in front, and maybe an EQ and gain after it too.
@theweakobey6 жыл бұрын
Wonderful Review, However your "Clean" tone was anything but.

Dry tone?????!
@schubiduba14 жыл бұрын
I bought it and it completly sucks. You can only play one note and not even bend it. Lower register of guitar sounds horrible. And its not polyphonic, of course i knew that before but I would never buy octaver without polyphonic again. Now i bought the POG2 and its worlds in between in regards of quality and sound.
@ryanguit4 жыл бұрын
But... The POG has a slight latency on the attack and will not do a synthy nasty vibe. Treat this like a mxr bluebox and cascade it or an octave fuzz switch and you will very surprised by what it can do. It is not supposed to compete with digital octave pedals. It's an OC2 without the filtering and with a cool octave up fuzz too. I do feel it would have been easy and super super great if they added a tone knob, but I'm grateful they didn't just cut the highs like an OC2. So...

'Dry tone'? Not dry... And it is the worst octaver pedal i have heard
