The bible prophecies about the end times that we are living in right now. What has the world come to? Are people feeling the darkness and despair slowly suffocating them like Icy claws around the neck? Are people disappointed with there lying cheating deceiving governments? I’m sure you could answer all of these with a resounding yes. But in this state of confusion and hopelessness can’t we start to hear a murmur or cry from the people for One who could lead them out of darkness and make everything right? Then the stage is set for the prophecy to be fulfilled and He will arise who will be the Antichrist which is the false Jesus, the false messiah who the whole world will bow to and worship. This is why the story of Griffith inverses so deeply. It is almost exactly what is about to come to pass. Jesus is our saviour and always has been and he will come but first must come the false Christ.

Idk. I like Griffith's character as much as I like Sensui in Yu Yu Hakusho. I enjoy how antagonists can have a complexity about them and aren't just "black/white" evil out the gate without explanation of their origins. He's one of those inflammatory characters that riles viewers and readers up when they get into the story. I never out of the gate hated him, it was just an awesome story with good complex characters to me.
