I have a theory on the burned house horizon. When I was in the Marine corps we were instructed to set off insincerity grenades in the engine bays of all vehicles that were to be left behind so the enemy couldn't use our own equipment against us. Maybe they were moving innocently and making sure rival villages didn't prosper from there left overs or fleeing from an invading army and using the same tactics

45:20 I feel like this is an easy solve. Not trying to be a snarky, but I feel like it’s Occam's razor. They intentionally burned the homes. They most likely did this for cultural reasons or, they noticed after a certain period of time the houses became unstable/ worn. Since this happens every 70 years or so like you stated, i believe its most likely that they burned them all at once so that the villagers would be able to pool their resources and make sure all community members were safe.
