@@sambecks9036 No bro, India have provided good pitches to England twice in 2016 & 2024 & to Australia as well. Yes, Out of 12 matches, 3 were rank turners like Pune, Vizag & Ahmedabad. But that's the beauty of test cricket to play against tough home soils. In India, now new generation want to see fast cricket that's why test cricket is getting less audience. Australia & English are crowd still enjoying it.

It's beauty of test cricket to play the alien condition on other's soil. But I also want to see green pitches to see test cricket interesting. I personally don't like turning tracks. If I remember correctly only Saurabh Ganguly has the guts to offer you green wickets in Kolkatar which he cleared said & implemented as well twice both against England and Bangladesh before.

What a memorable test match this was ! I still remember the match. It went right down the wire. One wicket was remaining and SA played out around 15 - 16 overs after their 9th wicket fell. In the end, 3 or 4 overs were remaining and it seemed that SA would save this match comfortably. But then Harbhajan bowled a superb delivery to rap Morkel on the pads and get his wicket. I remember as soon as the last SA wicket fell, I was jumping with joy. I was searching for video of this match on KZbin but in vain. Thanks a lot for uploading the video 🙂.

I saw Day 1 of this Test Match at the Iconic Eden Gardens. I was 13 years old at that time and was forcing my Father that I want to watch a live match in the Eden but as we were middle class and match tickets were quite expensive those days so he waited for this moment, Test Match tickets were sold Day Wise. The Day 1 ticket costed 500 per head. That Peach of the delivery at 00:15 was my first electric experience inside a stadium. Eden really gets too loud. It was followed by a great partnership between Amla & Peterson and as a kid I lost my patience seeing the Firangi scoring runs and Eden was completely silent then I told papa " Bore lag raha h ghar chalo" It was Day 1 Tea Break and when I left there was a dramatic turnaround in the last session. As I look back, I definitely feel I was there from morning till 3 pm in noon so I could have stayed a little longer then wouldn't have missed such action but it gave me a brilliant life lesson on Patience and glad India won the Test Match ❤

This was 2 years after inauguration of IPL , t20 was hitting the market , & galleries started to become empty in test cricket in other parts of india. Bt look at the Kolkata crowd , look at their active participation in the game . Just amazing . Bt the BCCI is cruel enough , not hosting a single test match in this Venue since last 5 years . Bro you don't know about the new BCCI rule for allotment of test matches for every Test venue. Which includes Ahmedabad Bengaluru chennai Delhi Dharamshala Hyderabad Indore kanpur Mumbai Mohali Nagpur pune Ranchi Rajkot Vizag now Given the Test matches india host every year range from 5 to 7 average sometimes even lower than that given that every now & then indian team does overseas tour of Australia Newzealand South Africa or Even Bangladesh exactly in the same season/timeperiod when it was for the indian team to host others teams in India itself so given this constraints India itself find it hard sometimes to host just half a dozen test matches in some schedules therefore it's not like that BCCI is working against kolkata as a venue to host test matches. When country like India which has large number of international cricket stadiums so for every venue to host test match after long period of time is the natural outcome. as cass in point is Dharamshala which hosted its last test matche in 2017 & now it hosted test match in 2024 after 7 years gap same is the case with pune which doesn't hosted any test match since 2017 so it's not that only kolkata is suffering from this large number of stadiums mence in India
