We kids from Germany, all about 12 years old... the very first KZbin years... we didn't know what we were doing or what we were watching, but dude... Kimbo Slice was like a hero to us. The heroic villain we needed. We were bullied by older kids... Kimbo Slice was the reason why we finally started fighting back. To defend our self. He is the reason why I am a multiple German and South German amateur champion in boxing and MMA. Thank you Kimbo. Thank yor Mr. Kevin Ferguson. We love and miss you.

No, it wasn't and no he wasn't past his prime, he had some great fights and even though he was new to wrestling training, he had one of the best take downs in MMA history in one of his first MMA fights. Anderson Silva was at his absolute best when he was 2-3 years older than Kimbo. You guys are brainwashed about age because athletes retire from overuse injuries or not wanting to compete anymore. That's why different positons in the NFL retire at different age groups on average, because of different wear and tear.

I was born and raised in a small village in rural Romania. We got internet at the same time youtube started, around '06-'07. I was around 14 at that time and me and my friends were huge kimbo fans, to the point that one one of our friends who was really big for his age got the nickname "kimbo slice". He was probably the first youtube personality that I know of. You look at guys like McGregor and how filthy rich he got, and you must think that kimbo could have been at least at 10% his riches, which would still be 30 million. He will forever be a legend.

Legendary amongst early KZbin users and groups of young men who would sit around one friends computer in an AOL Chat Room - watching Kimbo Slice, while reading the Anarchist Cook Book. Those were the years!

Didn’t like him at first glance, but when you saw him on TUF and realize how humble he really was coming into MMA at an older age he did pretty good. Rip Kimbo 🙏

Inspiring story, but also made me sad. I was a sophmore/junior in high school when his internet fame started to rise. We would surround the PC and watch this guy just LEVEL people. Its nice to hear he was such a kind soul. His son seems nice as well. RIP Kimbo. Thank you for everything.
