The character development between MinMin and Wuji was phenomenal. Started of on the wrong foot and overtime they warmed up to each other eventually becoming lovers. In truth Wuji would've stuck with Zhirou but found out she cared more about a sect than her love for him that's why he chose MinMin. His dream is also MinMin's as well.

Like Chen Yuqi 陈钰琪 Yukee Chen very much ever since I had watched Yitian Tulong Ji 2019 倚天屠龙记 Heavenly Sword Dragon Slaying Saber, the last one of the trilogy by Jin Yong / Louis Cha 查良镛 -- she played as the very lovely and smart princess of the Yuan Dynasty, Zhao Min 赵敏 pairing with the main character, Zhang Wuji 张无忌 Frankly, at first I expected it a piece Chinese music to accompany this clip, but your selection is still very good. Thank you for all your works of love for this movie and its main characters. For me all the main characters are great yet Chen Yuqi is the brightest star there in my eyes... she played so well, and she's so charming, just gorgeous!

She fell first, but he fell harder! Their love story is parallel to his parents love story and its meant to be. His mother was cunning and was willing to bend the rules in order to achieve results, his father was stoic and virtuous to a fault. Then Wuji would repeat history by meeting the spitting image of his mother in Zhao Min, but he changed history by removing himself from the martial arts world- cutting all ties to Ming cult and Wutang itself. You feel relief that Wuji made the choice of living a quiet life of peace and tranquility with Zhao Min and avoided all the conflict that his Father couldn't.

Wuji was about to marry Zhiruo when Zhao Min (Yukee Chen) entered the scene. The cancellation of her marriage explains why Zhiruo became a villain in the series.

@@lv83bloodknight Well, it was pretty understandable from Zhiro's perspective why she wanted to kill Zhao Min, but trying to kill her in her sleep was not heroic at all. Yin Li was an accident, slip of the hand with the Heaven Sword. "Once it leaves its sheath, it must taste human blood before it can return". Zhiro's fall into darkness was tragic. She was in way over her head. If you REALLY pay attention to HS&DS, EVERY character's perspective makes total sense. That's one of the reasons the novel is so brilliant.

Zhiruo was just a villain for a little while, then she went back to normal, just like Zhao Min was a villain and wanted to kill everyone when she first showed up, then she changed. Only pure of heart in this drama, was the Persian girl.

@@VegetoStevieD perfect explanation. Zhirou should've just left that sect for good after the battle of the mountain. It is tragic since she had a very sad upbringing losing her parents and never seeing Wuji for years until the battle. I think she ultimately decided to give up all hope and painfully stick with the sect after stabbing Wuji who she loved so much. She knew her master hated Wuji and knew they would do anything to hurt him so in her mind being with the sect could mean she could prevent that in some way shape or form. It didnt work unfortunately. Combine that with her kindness, sad childhood, a horrible selfish master, and her indecisiveness, Zhirou turning evil was almost expected. Since the burning tower incident she was near lost and her master pushed her to brink of madness. The last few episodes she literally develops a near obsession towards Wuji going as far as to murder anyone who steps in her way. Wuji obviously still cares and loved her but could not stand by who she was at that moment and her indecisiveness that cost her kindness. MinMin ultimately was in the same situation being the Mongol princess but was willing to throw all that away disregarding the consequences because she loved Wuji. That's what captured Wuji's heart and love for MinMin.
