Thanks Coleman. Thanks for writing this originally and thanks to David for doing such a good job. I remembered this from when it first aired and it blew me away that the network let you put this scene on air! I never forgot it and was amazed that 30 years later I got to meet the guy who got it on the air!

Wow, a guy like that needs really to tell his story to Gangs like that! Maybe they'll finally see that there is something beyond the grave.

May have been the best scene of the entire series. I would like to know where the writers got that vision of Hell.

I still remember this scene to this day. Of course the hell he described is a holiday camp compared to my marriage

The Equalizer: Sea of Fire written by Coleman Luck, ft. David Strathairn Matrix was a short lived tv show based on the premise of this episode.

I remember this episode as a child. Do you have access to the scene that follows? I think it is towards the end where someone asks McCall if he has been to hell too and the camera zooms in on McCall's serious face. That scene is so ominous! You can't get the Equalizers on DVD in this country. Rather a shame. Maybe with the reboot, this beyond its time series will get dusted off. Please post that scene if you can get it! Thanks!

I remember that scene, it was the last scene in the episode. One of McCall's associates mentions a mission they had been on, McCall had been shot and his heart stopped for a couple of minutes. When asked if he had seen anything, McCall did not answer he just stared into the distance. Great scene.
