Thanks for the video.I watched this one after your Lee Trail video. It's great that you're showing some great trails not too far away from home (Netherlands) to do on a longer weekend in the spring or fall. Luxemburg looks great for a Spring break with some hiking in 2024.

I just did a section of this today (23/05/24) from Kautenbach to Clervaux which is 24km and took me 7 hours 25 minutes including a few small breaks. I took the train from Luxembourg City, got off at Kautenbach and came back from Clervaux. There were also two other stations in between so if you didn't want to do the whole 24km stage you could just jump on the train at either of them to come back too. The way is very well signposted. And of course all public transport in Luxembourg is free :)

Beautiful video, I would love to do this hike now in September! Could you list the places where you slept?

First night was at Camping Clervaux, the other two were off the beaten track. I'll check but I don't think I have the coördinates.

Looking at the Escapardennes trail. Very nice that they give you NO camping options between Houffalize and Wincrange in Luxemburg. That's almost 40 kilometers all in all. Where are you supposed to sleep except illegally?

True, some vacation rentals but nothing you can book for a single night. And nothing on Welcome to my Garden or on Campspace either...

What a great video! I did the whole Müllerthal trail last Easter and I'm currently figuring out what to do for next Easter. Müllerthal was well visited, which was quite nice for a solo hiker like me. So I'm searching for something not too remote. What is your impression of this route? Will you be walking in solitude?
@BelgianHikers
@BelgianHikers 2 жыл бұрын
Definitely a lot quieter than the Mullerthal! Especially the start, the last part by the Ourthe is the busiest (and the most adventurous).

Thanks for your answer. I also saw your review of the Müllerthal trail. I agree with you, that route 2 is quite crowded at certain places. The other two were more quiet. Your videos are really great and I'm looking forward to visit Belgium for the first time one day 🙂

Just on my way home from hiking the whole Escapardenne Lee and Eislek trail in 8 days. It was truly amazing! Again thank you for this inspiring video 🙏🥾🥾

@@ingeborglindhardttoft699 Wow, doing the Lee trail and the Eisleck back to back sounds like an amazing week away from it all. We'll be doing the Lee trail again in a couple of weeks, really looking forward to it. Any camping/hotel spots you'd recommend?

@BelgianHikers
@BelgianHikers 2 жыл бұрын

@BelgianHikers
@BelgianHikers 2 жыл бұрын

Uphill, slow is smooth, smooth is fast! For real, take your time walking uphill. All beginners walk too fast and after 2 days they are exhausted.
