Men just seemed to really slip in the 40’s, 50’s, as husbands and heads of households, from my experience, post-war alcoholism and infidelity. My mom told me never rely on a man to provide for you and became a corporate sales leader in a skyscraper in a big city, it was extremely fashionable to be a lady in high heals. Now I’m married with three children making crafts selling vintage stuff on Etsy, etc, with a biology Ed degree. It’s just funny how fast I had to run to escape the mentality my mom taught me. It burned me out before I was even 30. Cannot wait to watch the documentary!

These women have truly changed my life. I learned how to knit when I was a child but lost interest and put it down for years. I’m now a 28 year old mom of two toddler boys with a baby girl coming in a few weeks and I’ve realized through listening to these ladies for a few years now and through having children of my own how important culture building is. From inspiration from them I have since picked up knitting again and am learning 3 different knitting techniques from different parts of the world. I just finished a knitted mouse for my son and have moved on to starting to make two stegosauruses 😅 I’m currently learning how to sew and have completed my first project. I’m now starting a quilt. I’ve learned crochet as well in the past year and have a few good projects under my belt with that also. I am currently in my kitchen making homemade puff pastry for danishes. My point is that I would not have the ambition for culture building in my home that I do without these women! I learned godly discipline from their father and his books but these ladies have taught me even further into how to actually be a creative godly wife. Love them

I’ve listened to you two ladies since the beginning of ‘What Have You”, and it’s a highlight of my week. (I’m more like your mom’s age.). I love how ya’ll enjoy one another and can become so tickled that you can’t even go on until the laughter subsides. I never had a sister growing up, so I listen with great delight. I can't decide what I think about the Wilson family. I've listened to Rachel's and Rebekah's podcast for years, and I've seen them grow some, but I still disagree with the way they communicate sometimes. Years ago they used to laugh hysterically about other people's sin issues. They don't do that anymore. I messaged them about it several times. It seems like their family has a very strange sense of humor. On one hand it's good for us to laugh at our own sin struggles so that we don't take ourselves too seriously. However I think it's very unkind to laugh at other people's sin. It's like they don't realize how they are affecting their listeners. Sometimes I hear them say things on their podcast that are absolutely true, about how we should not judge others and how we should not be prideful, but then I think to myself, why aren't you taking your own advice? It reminds me of when Jesus told his disciples to do what the Pharisees say but don't do what they do.

Yep I'm trying to be good at gardening and I'm not so great at it. But someday I will be. I always have success and failure each season or something that comes up, but it teaches me sooooo much especially patience. It was the first thing I did after severe illness when I thought I cud do nothing, contribute nothing and the Lord raised me out of my sickbed. So I watered a seed. And it grew, then it bloomed. So I started watering everything and I started to sing praises. Then I planted more things to water and tend. I was able to see God's faithfulness and wonder and that I had an active and a passive role to play and that I still had purpose and value because he says I do. I was able to comeback from years of an incurable disease raging havoc on my life to finding my purpose and some peace and knowing he will build me up to be the wife and mother and sister he calls me to be. Completely dependent upon the Holy Spirit and responsible for participating in what I'm called to.

On the podcast they talk a lot about how busy they are with all the hosting they do and cooking and planning events for the church or new St Andrews College. They weave and do pottery and sew and remodel their houses and cook and teach and it seems like they never sit down. I know they believe in Sabbath rest but it seems like they're communicating to other women that you're not a good Christian woman unless you're doing all of these things in just this way. And they hardly ever talk about their own sin struggles. I've heard them talk on the podcast about how they don't want to disrespect their husbands by discussing their marriages on the podcast and they don't want to shame their children by discussing their children. Sometimes they do discuss their own sin but it's usually something that was only a struggle years and years ago and far removed from the present. Rachel in particular, lacks a great deal of humility. If she reads this she'll probably tell me that pride is offended by Pride. And she's right; except I'm willing to admit that I'm prideful and I don't think she's willing to admit that about herself.

Agreed. Too many Christian women fall into the trap of going to college and spending their prime fertile years getting a degree that they don't even want to "use" in the professional sense after marriage but then end up feeling trapped by debt and unable to be stay at home moms because of their student loans. Being a homemaker and a mother is a huge and important task that requires much work, the cultivation of various skills, and an excellent lifelong pursuit of education and knowledge. You don't need to go to college to obtain any of those.

Either these 2 know better or they r being mislead, but I would recommend they study history a little closer. I have studied renaissance art & art history for 7 years, a real passion guiding a deep dive. I am very familiar with the era they speak of in Holland, France, & America. Lets use Holland as the primary example because the other 2 countries pretty much (outside of a slight variation in culture related to that country) follow suit. Yes it is true that Holland or Dutch culture demanded a certain level or cleanliness & homemaking……but there were no suburbs, there were no housewives doing these chores in their own homes. To understand this, u must realize that there was huge class separation & basically only 2 classes: super wealthy & everyone else. Shipping had expanded due to technology improving ships & shipping lanes explored, chartered, & then opened with treaties between governments. The men who were able to exploit this moment in history garnered super wealth as shipping moguls. Their wives did not work, not even in the privacy of their own homes. Basically, everyone other than these wealthy families scratched out a living working on ships, docks, selling fish & vegetables, & providing services. These average families were so starved for opportunity, it was completely normal & common, when a daughter became 14, she would ….if lucky enough to b accepted…..b sent to a wealthy home & put to work. They would sleep 2-3 in a bed in single rooms often in the attic & worked every moment they were awake. The only thing that kept them free of work at night was the lack of electricity forcing people to rely on candle light. From sun up to sun down they scrubbed all of the fancy silk & lacy items worn by the lady of the house, her husband, & the children. As well, they performed every chore that ran the household. This is what they did for the rest of their short lives. Unless! They were impregnated by the head of the household & IF he happened to b kind enough to pay support for his illegitimate child, but this was extremely rare (the child support)……or if they could meet a male worker (such as the fish market guy, or dock worker,etc) who finds a path out of poverty & decides to marry her. I could go on & on but u get the picture. The same with embroidering French napkins & caring for those mansions, etc…..even in America……where society women benefitted from having slave labor or the working class women u point to were extremely poor & forced to resort to prostitution to make just enough for a single meal each day. Were these women empowered?? No. So u may have a positive point to make regarding modern homemakers in America, but u should avoid the history u point to, as it does not support ur narrative. As well, remember……feminism is not about the empowerment u describe when mentioning clean floors. Many women were patronized by men in power by allowing them to wag their finger & make demands such as ‘take ur shoes off’. These men were happy to play along if it meant these second class citizens remained happy & willing to serve their ‘private’ needs. Instead, feminism is about gaining the right to vote, to work, to manage their own money, to own land, to divorce a bad husband, to not b raped, to not b jailed by a judicial system who proved they were not performing their sworn duty as a wife (sex on demand). To blur these facts & attempt to sell ur point as if being a women has always included being treated humanely is not only misleading, it actually threatens the changes that brought forth ur ability to create & post this video or to b recognized as an author, to have ur book published under ur name & not the name of ur husband or father.

Allah says in the Holy Quran that He is closer to us than our jugular vein. We do not need to go via any other being to connect to Him. Allah says 'Ask Me! I was wondering if anyone from Christ Church could speak on women wearing head coverings. There is a large movement in support, 1 Corinthians 11 teaches it. It's recent for women not to wear them and seems to have stopped with the feminist movement.

Verse 15 of this chapter addresses the topic: 15 But if a woman have long hair, it is a glory to her: for her hair is given her for a covering. 16 But if any man seem to be contentious, we have no such custom, neither the churches of God. Paul is clarifying here that a woman’s long hair is given for a covering and that he has no such custom.

The messiah's name was always going to be Jesus according to Zechariah Chapter 6... which is the same name as the post exile high priest ,Yeshua! if the concept of Messiah and God are separate then it doesn't automatically follow that sins can be forgiven.. only God can forgive sins. furthermore if the expectation of Messiah is to reverse the events of Genesis 3 Genesis 6 and Genesis 11 then by Definition messiah has to be more than just a man. Jesus being born of Mary but not of Joseph is not a problem according to Jewish history because I believe during the reign of Queen Alexandra Jewish law made Heritage pass on, by matrilineal Bases. A basis for the Trinity can be established in the Old Testament by passages like Amos 4:11Isaiah 48:16.. and Judges chapter 2:1 and Daniel 7:9-14 Support for the idea of God becoming man in Scripture are Deuteronomy 18 verses 15 to 18 Focus of the verse speaks of the coming Messiah coming from lineage of Israel like unto moses. We also have Exodus chapter 23 verse 20 and 21 the context of which is speaking about the future Endeavor of going over Jordan then we come to Joshua chapter 5 verses 13 to 15 and the context of this passage is having just gone over the Jordan into Israel. Another proof of this idea perhaps most glaringly Jeremiah chapter 1 verses 4-10... the first thing you want to pay attention to is titles in verse 4 and verse 9... Hashem and the word of the Lord these titles are used interchangeably there's some definite implication there but the point of emphasis here is verse 9 because it goes a little further than just anthropomorphic language. Now the next concern is did Jesus ever claim to be God? And for this the scriptures I would provide are Matthew 26:64 Jesus directly quotes Daniel 7:13 John 10:34 Jesus claims to be the judge in Psalm 82 referencing verse 6 In John 10 versus Both 11 and 14 Jesus Yeshua says that he is the Good Shepherd and you can cross-reference this with the very first line of Psalm 23. In Mark chapter 6 starting from verse 45 Jesus walks on the water this is something designated in the Old Testament for something only God (job 9:8) can do this separates Jesus from the other people who did miracles. Where another claim would be is in the fact that Jesus forgives sins, off the top of my head is Mark chapter 2 now certainly there have always been Messianic claimants but none of them have ever claimed to forgive sins. Now the question becomes why would Jesus so secretive why didn't he just come out and say that he was the Lord God of Israel?... well one scripture off the top of my head of that I would provide here that might be interesting is this Matthew 16:20 "then he commanded his disciples that they should tell no one that he was Jesus the Christ"... my suggestion to you here, would be that the crucifixion how to take place at a certain place at a certain time and under a specific set of circumstances. Please Look into all the scriptures I made mention here I hope this helps even one person Hashem bless everyone of you... in the name of Jesus both son and God of David king of Israel, amen!

I also witnessed a lot of of weird reactionary impulses in my churches growing up. A woman at our church actually told my mother that women should absolutely not go to college. And AMEN to sharing recipes! I have a book of all of my perfected recipes that I want my kids to self publish and give out at my funeral. 🤣🤣
